Great start! Cha-cha-cha is the father of the man!
  3:05am
markr:

Thanks, Beavo--sorry for the crackle. This one's been played a lot!
  3:09am
Vincent Nifigance:

It's come around again. Good morning everyone.

BEAVO:

crackles make it real
  3:16am
markr:

Oh, it's real, alright. I brought in my own copy, then I compared it to the station copy, and they were equally crackly.
  3:16am
BEAVO:

It took me years in the 70s and 80s to finally find out what album House in the Country was on.
  3:17am
BEAVO:

I thought it was the Kinks for a while wrong song same title
  3:19am
markr:

I've had songs like that. There was one Badfinger song in particular that I heard when I was about 12, that I finally heard a few years ago, and it wasn't as great as I had remembered!
  3:20am
BEAVO:

Nice Ibert
  3:21am
BEAVO:

Al Kooper talk about being in the right place at the right time with just enough talent.
  3:22am
BEAVO:

Kooper’s book backstage passes and Backstabbing bastards is a good read
  3:29am
BEAVO:

Not only did he bullshit his way onto one of the biggest records in history he actually created the outstanding signature part of that record the organ part. An instrument he didn’t really play.
  3:35am
BEAVO:

I have a Jussi Bjorling bootleg from Atl in 1956
  3:40am
BEAVO:

Recall reading somewhere Bjorling was a large Swede that could hold his own in a drinking situation.
  3:41am
BEAVO:

I’m gonna chill now and enjoy the music

It's called Robyn Sings. One disc is Robyn doing his favorite Dylan songs, and the other is a re-creation of the famous '66 Albert Hall concert.

Robyn Hitchcock doing Sgt. Pepper songs solo with accustic guitar ... and other pocket symphonies ... it's awesome!

Good morning, Dave. Dave, have you met Debt Collector from Burlington?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:08am
pacific standard simon:

Pretty much anything by Robyn Hitchcock is awesome. I saw him in the early '90s with Alex Chilton opening. OMG. Then again when The Soft Boys re-united in 2001, at The Fillmore, with the Young Fresh Fellows opening, and Roy Loney sang "Teenage Head". Thomas Dolby did an encore with the Soft Boys, which I missed, because my FORMER spouse wanted to leave.

Or is it from "sleeper"?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:29am

ROBYN! You need to come here and see us! Fuck Seattle!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:30am

Unfortunately the Cologne venue "Gebäude 9" do overloud mixes with groups like ty Segall, that it really spoils the music. Not even punch in the rythem. Just mash. Send all deaf engineers to therapy and give them another job.
