  4:33pm Al:

Tolpuddle is a town in Dorset, south England. In the 1800s, a group of farm workers from the town formed a "friendly society" (trade union) to protest lowered wages. They were arrested and shipped to Australia as punishment. They were later pardoned and returned to England. The Martyrs are celebrated with a festival in Tolpuddle every year. Now you know the significance of the band name.
  4:42pm Al:

Smiley Lewis (sp?) sounds a lot like Fats Domino.
Avatar 4:44pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...or the other way around...: en.wikipedia.org...
Fats did make the point this 'RawkaRolla' was nothing terribly new in N'Orleans...

  1:36am John from CDA:

You're right, Tom! Blaha sound like the Jesus & Mary Chain on that song....Chipmunks, Purple People Eater, Little Space Girl, the Happy Reindeer (Hi there, Mr. Moon)....the second syllable is emphasized in the word "polyphony".
