9:02am 1whoknewcthulhu:Good morning, Bob--welcome back! ♥ 9:02am duke:Good morning Bob and Brainiacs 9:03am SmokinJ:Missed ya' bb... Let's go! 8-) ♥ 9:03am Aaron Working In Newark:Good Morning Bob ♥ 9:04am Ricky:Cool. Looking forward, Hey Bob. 9:05am 1whoknewcthulhu:Mongo mundo--smokin' start! ♥ 9:07am duke:Cool versions of Yeh Yeh 9:08am melinda:Hi Bob and folks 9:09am Doc Rock:Yea Yea Good Morning Bob And All Listeners 9:11am J.D.:Yeah Yeah - Good Morning all
Hey Doc Rock!
9:11am WilliamfromDumont:RIP J.H. Morning Bob and all. ♥ 9:13am duke:J. H. sang with the Dead?! 9:23am J.D.:Why have I been thinking about Laura Nyro a lot this week? 9:27am WilliamfromDumont:I wonder if they sell Salty Peppers at the Sugar Shoppe? 9:28am Jack:According to Wiki, J.H. recorded Fire in the City with the Warlocks (pre-Dead) 9:39am J.D.:Pat Patrick was also the father of Deval Patrick (who was the governor of Mass) 9:49am Doc Rock:Good Morning JD 9:53am phat:Naima seems to be a theme for me this winter. 9:56am 1whoknewcthulhu:One of my favorite Associations (Wrecking Crew) songs. 9:57am SmokinJ:Association=killer tracks! 10:03am WilliamfromDumont:Bob, that's Joe Osborn bass. 10:15am MikeyinNC:The Killer's Don't Let Go - outstanding!! The only version I'd ever heard prior was Isaac Hayes' great cover from the late 70's 10:17am J.D.:Sometimes I wonder that, if we didn't label Chuck, Jerry Lee, Richard, etc as "oldie acts" when they were still in their 30s, they might have continued producing great work in the 1960s? 10:33am Stevel:J.D.: Probably so. The "times up" distinction seems to be easing a bit, at least for me, in regards to artists who remain strong performers, which most do. 10:37am SmokinJ:I still treasure my original near mint vinyl copy of "What's Shakin'" Really a gem. 10:39am J.D.:Stevel, there's no doubt all those cats remained great live performers. I feel they might have continued to produce great recordings and, possibly, grown as recording artists if not for the stigma of being "oldies acts" 10:47am SeanG:Juana! ♥ 10:48am Greg from ZONE 5:Morning, Bob & all! 10:52am Elvin:Bob, another great show today. I had never heard Don't Let Go by JLL, just the cover. And that Association song is one of my faves. And now a great tune by Nazz. Thanks so much, you brighten my mood in these dark times. ♥ 10:55am duke:Great show, as always. 10:56am J.D.:Elvin, I second that emotion! 12:21pm JoeChrisMorris:always nice to hear something from Nazz Nazz of course!
