Some of this early Cocker is downright surprtsing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26pm chris_in_space:

It's been so long since I've been able to catch your show live, Pseu. Glad to be tuned in.
  12:34pm Peanut Gallery:

Beautiful waves in my head. Thanks!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39pm BronwynB:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51pm Krys O.:

YES!!!!! Carly.....(heart)
Avatar 12:51pm Roberto:

All right, I know I'm not the only one who immediately associates this song with Heinz Ketchup.
Avatar 12:52pm dale:

roberto - my first thought too.
Avatar 12:53pm Roberto:

When I was a kid I thought the chorus was "Heinz is the patience."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:53pm Parq:

Yo tambien, Roberto.
Avatar 12:53pm dale:

'that's the way i always heard should it be' always makes me weepy
Avatar 12:54pm Listening Out There:

Ah. Meeting done. Back to the pseuthing sounds...
Avatar 12:55pm Sir Slouch:

I don't like this song a whole lot, but I have to admit when Carly sings "These are the good old days", I melt.
Avatar 1:01pm dale:

  1:01pm listener monica:

  1:22pm Websie:

Hi all, I missed the last set cuz i went on a sickbed run for some Gatorade, that's all I'll say.
Avatar 1:24pm Pseu Braun:

Poor Websie! Sending tidal waves of Jewish Penicillin your way...xoxo
  1:34pm JakeGould:

Well, here it goes: Everyone is talking about how Donald Trump used “Pocahontas” as a bizarre slur while honoring Native American code talkers… But, nobody is talking about how cute those Native American code talkers were wearing complimentary mustard and ketchup outfits. So cute! www.theatlantic.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:54pm mb:

hello Pseu and alls!
  1:55pm Websie:

Was this the first time the president of a label had a Top 10 hit with his vocal debut?
Avatar 1:57pm dfb:

hey nice herb
Avatar 2:00pm slugluv1313:

oh wow -- guilty pleasure!
this Herb Alpert song -- possibly "corny" but i cannot help totally LOVING it, hah!
and way cool, Purple Ivy Shadows! (saw Figure Ground many years ago at CBGB with a friend who turned me on to them)
Avatar 2:01pm Roberto:

Hey you! Rethra!
Avatar 2:01pm slugluv1313:

oh yes -- i remember that video, Pseu!
was it from a TV show appearance, or something like that?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:02pm Krys O.:

Cotton Mather is great and Robert Harrison is a really nice guy.
  2:02pm Woo:

Pawtucket is pronounced P'tucket in Pawtucket. I've been to Pawtucket.
  2:04pm J Dream:

Klaatu is wonderful
  2:05pm J Dream:

*i know Pawtucket well...
  2:05pm JakeGould:

@Pseu: I’m sick too… But I don’t want your penicillin because I’m a Jew, and I am allergic to penicillin and when I—as an adult—talked to a doctor about it they said that sometimes doctors ignore the allergy to penicillin warnings and just give patient’s penicillin because the anaphylaxis from penicillin is sometimes not as bad as what they are trying to fix so they let the patient suffer through anaphylaxis for a short while and then give them antihistamines later anyway which means I’m not taking penicillin just right yet thank you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:10pm Tommy in Neversink:

I'm allergic to pelicans
Avatar 2:11pm slugluv1313:

awwww thank you Pseu for taking care of this little kitten :)
Avatar 2:11pm Roberto:

Awww Lindsey!
Avatar 2:11pm Roberto:

He! My mother-in-law always does the same thing. Mixes up cat genders :)
Avatar 2:11pm dfb:

that ok we had two male cats in a row called suzy. cats get weird names
  2:11pm JakeGould:

I once was given a pelican when I was sick. Worst soup ever.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:12pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Less penicillin, more chicken soup!
  2:13pm Clay:

Argent! The magic of Russ Ballard!
  2:13pm herb.nyc:

Neat, Pseu said Matt M's name. So did Leonard Lopate, about 10" ago. I always smile when the latter happens. --go Lindsay the kitten!!
  2:14pm judy from croton:

Pseu, your show helps forget that someone threw a glass and overturned and broke a table all for me this morning.
Guess i'm just that kind of gal.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:15pm Krys O.:

Ack, feel better, Pseu!
Avatar 2:16pm Pseu Braun:

Krys O, WTF I don't have ROUNDWORM, the kitten Lindsey does! RUMOURS!
  2:17pm Switchblade Batmat:

When I dated an Aussie she would play this one over, and over, and over, and over...
Avatar 2:18pm James in ATL:

Really enjoying the show - Thank you Pseu!
  2:22pm listener monica:

i can't always put my finger on the "hook" but your song choices always push my "on" button.
  2:29pm Tom from Maplewood:

Ugh. Dog & Butterfly, I think I’m gonna turn off the radio and put on some Cannibal Corpse.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:31pm abutthegreat:

Really nice cover of that T Petty song. She sells it like a really torch song.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:31pm Tommy in Neversink:

Not enough Dog and Butterfly on FMU .Glad you're rectifying that Sue.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:31pm Krys O.:

Ack! I'm truly blind as a bat. I misread Jake's post as yours. Sorry, Pseu. Sincerely, Ms. Magoo.
Avatar 2:33pm Pseu Braun:

Yes, Tom from Maplewood. That would be a good idea, to put on some music that was popular back in the late 80's
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:34pm Tommy in Neversink:

This show is absolute perfection
Avatar 2:35pm slugluv1313:

as much as i love Cannibal Corpse -- i actually adore "Dog and Butterfly" too!
(aren't Aquarians supposed to be all contradictory as f*ck?)
reminds me of a friend of my younger sister in high school -- sweet kid, but i think she had to leave school because she was pregnant :( (yes this WAS the 1970s)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:37pm Mike Sin:

This whole set starting with Frank Bango has been fab... So much of it new to my old ears.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:39pm Tommy in Neversink:

I thought one side of Dog and Butterfly was fantastic . I loved all of Little Queen and Dreamboat Annie.....didn't like much after that
Avatar 2:43pm slugluv1313:

Pseu, your whole show has been fantastic -- thank you!
Avatar 2:43pm Pseu Braun:

you're welcome Sluggo!
  2:45pm TImBK:

I love this song by Sinead.
Avatar 2:47pm slugluv1313:

from the "Married to the Mob" soundtrack, if i remember correctly?
  2:48pm TImBK:

Yep, and I do not want what I haven't got. That album is amazing from start to finish. She's a hell of a producer as well as song writer.
Avatar 2:49pm Zebtron A. Rama:

Avatar 2:53pm slugluv1313:

ahh, thanks TImBK!
and i totally agree re: Sinéad O'Connor!
Avatar 2:54pm Roberto:

Amazing how I'm hearing the backing vocals for the first time on this Charlotte Hatherley song. I've heard it many times before but this is the first time with headphones.
Avatar 2:55pm InBrkly:

Say what you will about Heart, that was a bitch'n Zeppelin tribute at the 2012 Kennedy Center honors.
