Maybe the only artist to have had a Led Zep song written about him?
  12:08pm Websie:

I'm detecting an Anthony Newley influence here.
  12:09pm phat:

this is now, officially, my favorite record
  12:11pm phat:

Roy Harper, that is
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13pm Krys O.:

Led Zeppelin wrote Tangerine for Jackie DeShannon, I believe.

Well maybe the only artist to be named in the title of a LZ song.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm Krys O.:

@Roberto: HA! Yowza.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22pm Doobois:

Yeah! Fresh & Onlys! Sorry, that's all I got.
  12:24pm jmr3:

There's also Ian Stewart, as in 'Boogie with Stu'
Avatar 12:26pm Roberto:

Well maybe the only artist to be named EXPLICITLY in the title of a LZ song?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26pm Krys O.:

Capitol Years reminds me of Lane Steinberg/The Wind.
  12:29pm jmr3:

I don't think 'Boogie with Stu' is about Ian Stewart, anyway. It's just a boogie, with Stu. Actually a cover/swipe of Richie Valens's cover/swipe of a Little Richard song. No idea where Little Richard got it. Roy Harper maybe?

Reminds me of senior year in High school! Listened to these guys and Young Fresh Fellows all the time.
  12:31pm melinda:

This is funny.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:32pm Wendy del Formaggio:

Why did it take so long for someone to write a song hailing John Cale? That's what I wanna know.

Pseu Tastic ...!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:10pm jkeigh:

Did anyone else get an XTC Apple Venus vibe from that great nick heyward track?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:13pm Nymor:

@ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ - twirling - excellent.

Nick Heyward touring UK from May - and first gig is just over the road from me so will try and remember to get a ticket or two-really liked that track.
  1:19pm melinda:

Is Nick Heywood the one who swung on a vine in a loincloth in the Love Plus One vid? I liked him.
  1:20pm melinda:

Heyward, that is.
  1:25pm whattawino:

Is this The Wheu? Loving this show!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:30pm Mike Sin:

Just got out for a lunch-time tune-in. Hi Pseu!
Geek alert re: "Our Love Was, Is" -- on the mono version, it's mixed with an entirely different guitar solo and some more effects layered on the vocals. Worth checking out if you only heard the stereo version of this great song for many years!
Avatar 1:42pm ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

HAHAHA! "Tall piece of driftwood."
I completely agree Pseu.
  1:51pm JeffW:

As always, you say me! (Jeff & Lee)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51pm Mike Sin:

re: the Who pre-1970
Good point I think a lot of folks of a certain age (those born in the '60s and early '70s) grew up with all the Who's albums pre-Tommy being obscure and out of print. In addition, with limited outlets and "classic-rock" radio by the '80s reducing the pre-1970 Who to about seven songs, those first three LPs didn't really "exist." It's weird how say, "1967" is more accessible in 2017 more than it ever was 30 years ago.
Avatar 1:53pm Roberto:

Trying not to bang head too overtly...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:55pm Wendy del Formaggio:

Roberto: same! I hope I'm not annoying my office-mates by my incessant foot-tapping with this Chris Bell song.
  1:57pm Namr to be displsyef:

loving this Kim Deal
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:01pm cthulhu:

Dancing at my desk!
Avatar 2:05pm dfb:

wow jetfighter is wonderful
Avatar 2:07pm the Canterbury wood-elf:

Dubious lyrics!
"Every time i make a move to love you..." HAH!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14pm Hughie Considine:

That audible first intake of breath on "Walk a Thin Line" is crucial.
Avatar 2:14pm Wild Neil:

I was born in 1967. By the way I gave away 350 albums. What a dummy! Anyway, yeah, The Who's back catalog was kinda hard to find. I was a record collector in 1985 and came upon The Who Sell Out and bought it for a whole $25 dollars at Desert Shore Records on Marshall Street in Syracuse, NY.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:24pm Hughie Considine:

I hope everyone listening will go and get the new Clientele record. It is pure bliss.
  2:29pm Websie:

S&C with some advance autobiography
  2:38pm ChrisB.:

God, I love to hear Scott Miller's voice!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:40pm Kat in Chicago:

Me too, ChrisB, me too
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:42pm Kat in Chicago:

This new Ted Leo is ridiculously good
  2:43pm Marie:

That Ted Leo is so talented.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:44pm Krys O.:

Oh, yeah! It was great seeing Ted Leo perform at a Record Fair years ago.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:45pm Krys O.:

I also recall seeing him on New York Noise. Anyone remember that show?
  2:47pm Dennis Diken:

splendid show Pseu!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:50pm ChrisB.:

Pseu, you are so in the greuve!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:51pm Asheville Jon:
