Imagine being situated at or near the UC Berkeley campus. Today, the campus is preparing for "demonstrations" of the most free and pure speech uttered since, I dunno, Jefferson, Paine, Patrick Henry, and El Duce. Imagine hearing Explosive Improvised Device and wanting to know more about the recording. So, you search for information about it online. Uhm, was that a big mistake? We'll see...

Only learned yesterday of his passing. The passing of John Ashbery put me in a shitty funk. The passing of Wm. Berger does not help one bit.

William's show was a comfort to me when I lived in Los Angeles. I hated Los Angeles, but one thing that was comforting was when I was studying or reading or thinking about how much I hated Los Angeles at 9pm, William would be on with his cathartically dark and heavy but still uplifting music. Then I moved back here and couldn't listen anymore because I had to get up early for work...but I'll always remember how he would always engage with me when I commented and ended up finding me on Facebook and we talked using that.
