August 7th, i think was just a few days after living in the high desert for two months! Being in California was all unintentional, based on originally some occurrences were happening that made it seem like there would be a conflict between NK and Japan. i experience presentiment and somehow decided that I should drive to California that April to try and be closer and more sensitive to what might happen and could know ahead of time. Instead tensions did wind down and I was still there! I feel quite different currently than I did then, although personally i would defer to someone else who is more presentiment-sensitive than myself!

@Bliss: a series of wildfires are burning in the Gorge on The Columbia River. It's been unseasonably hot for the last several months and the other day, some kid threw fireworks into a wooded canyon, touching off a huge 33,000 acre blaze.

It looks really awful right now. I imagine it's going to be pretty ugly and dismal for a few years until some large brush grows. Ironically, it'll be even more susceptible to wildfires without the big trees keeping the moisture there.

It looks like I picked the right month to watch apocalpyse films. (Threads, Miracle Mile, Last Night, Blade Runner)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:39pm Rich in Washington:

I remember driving through the historic Tillamook Burn locations as a kid and even though it was 30-40 years on, you could still see blackened tree stumps.

@Bliss, you might like Threads, it's a brutally, brutally realistic portrayal of what nuclear holocaust would look like

Avatar 5:49pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Miracle Mile has this amazing pacing. It just sits slowly in light romance for a long time, and ramps up suddenly to a real-time collapse of the city/civilization. It's amazing and has some really gorgeous scenery.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:51pm Rich in Washington:

I think Melancholia is the most introspective of all the collapse/end of the world movies.

Avatar 6:36pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

@Bliss: No idea, I don't read news. But that analysis is amazing and specific.
Avatar 6:37pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

And finally, some expressions you may need in an emergency
Avatar 6:39pm Bliss:

This is a lost/forgotten one for me. I didn't attach to it because I can't find the theme. But it's fully immersive, I like it again.

I did miss this 2013 show apparently although thankfully not many others that year! Now feels to have been time to experience each layer, with more to happen soon!
Avatar 6:52pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

I decided not to do a playlist comments interleve. Playlisting was hard enough.
Avatar 6:52pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

@possibilitywaves: And with some new layers this time!
Avatar 6:53pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

After this fades out, we'll spend a few minutes with an ouro tune before Bodega Pop Live begins.

Yes; the Plastic Ono Band album could have been released this year and it would not seem out of place. It is very vitally attuned to a larger undercurrent of human culture!
