Avatar 12:41pm cee:

nothing to be embarrassed about! #cassettes4life
Avatar 12:43pm themutante:

Cassettes and pencil.
Avatar 12:47pm MenfussMike:

The only thing worse than the cassette format is the 8 track.
Avatar 12:49pm Lopez:

I totally support the Sekele Movement
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49pm coelacanth∅:

cassettes are great! they far outlive cds and sound better than mp3s. -as long as you take care of them (like cds) and use tdk.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:50pm coelacanth∅:

and hi Liz! Stellar first set!
Avatar 12:50pm steve:

i love when tapes degrade into weird muddy muffled non music... does anyone remember Scott Williams' sun bleached Genesis tape??
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52pm coelacanth∅:

haha, no! but i have a few like that. (mostly maxell or basf that just degraded, without sun abuse)
Avatar 12:53pm Lopez:

Forro in the Dark is awesome! Wow
Avatar 12:54pm ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

Love this warped sounding Hawaiian guitar. Greeting Lizzners!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm coelacanth∅:

MMike, 8tracks sound great though! (again, if you take care of 'em)
Avatar 12:56pm ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

Funny, I just organized my cassettes at home. They sound fine but it's my cassette player that's warbled. Pretty much sums up my memories from that era.
Avatar 12:58pm Whooda:

Hello DJ Liz Berg and all
  1:17pm P-90:

Yo Whooda!
How you be?
Avatar 1:17pm KP:

Good afternoon, Liz
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23pm Michael 98145:

@jennique, keep those tape heads and rollers clean
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm chris:

i seem to recall rubbing alcohol and cotton swabs being employed on those heads, back in the day...
Avatar 1:27pm Whooda:

Hello P=90. Going blind deaf and crapping my pants, just usual old man stuff.
Avatar 1:31pm Mister Dobalina:

Really diggin' the space on this track.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33pm Liz Berg:

I must admit, I first read "Thunder Crutch" as "Thunder Crotch."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:34pm Liz Berg:

I think I just gave someone a band name! Who's taking it?
Avatar 1:34pm Lopez:

already my stage name, thanks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36pm chris:

opening for thunder crotch: the frijoles
Avatar 1:37pm ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

Liz, that sounds like a street name for an STD.
Avatar 1:37pm Mister Dobalina:

Not to start an unnecessary fire here, but I was just thinkin' that Liz doesn't seem to interact with the chat board as much. And then semi proven wrong. That's A Fate of a Fool.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37pm Michael 98145:

in the boom boom room
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:38pm Liz Berg:

Oh man, Jennique, I'll be laughing about that for days! Sorry for the lack of commenting, maybe not enough caffeine today... I'll try harder!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:46pm coelacanth∅:

have to be somewhere
Thanks Liz!

tchau camaradas
Avatar 1:47pm βrian:

Or a street name for some kind of aphrodisiac amphetamine.
Avatar 1:50pm ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

Or Thunder Crotch could be an adult variation of Thunder Cats. Already have the opening song: www.youtube.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:55pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Good afternoon, Liz and Lizzennettes!

Avatar 2:12pm Monplaisir:

Sweet ambiant tune =)
  2:16pm Eric:

My playlist seems to be out of sync with the music -- what was that awesome song in Hebrew?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:16pm Liz Berg:

@steve, yes we'll do a live video stream from Skeptech

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:29pm steveo:

Hi Liz, great set. Sorry I'm late. Tuesday is doing its thing on me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:31pm Liz Berg:

Eutrophic = (of a lake or other body of water) rich in nutrients and so supporting a dense plant population, the decomposition of which kills animal life by depriving it of oxygen.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:34pm Liz Berg:

Yep, I took a limnology class years ago, thanks for asking!
Avatar 2:35pm ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

Where are my glow sticks?????
Avatar 2:41pm βrian:

Why, Liz, you'd be right at home on the isthmus. A fair amount of eutrophication here, too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:46pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Nice to have a FMA set here. But where will we go after this for more FMA? Cheyenne's show, of course! www.wfmu.org...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:48pm fred:

Weird: I'm rarely home that early, and I arrive just in time to hear my pals Api Uiz. Thanks for that, Liz
Avatar 2:49pm Joe McG:

Love this Api Uiz, Liz!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:50pm Liz Berg:

Wow, fred, you're friends with Api Uiz? My favorite find on the FMA this week for sure! Tell us more about them!
Avatar 2:52pm Cheyenne:

The FMA owes a great debt to Commune Oreille, they're killin' it over there with the new bands
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:54pm fred:

They were originally from Bordeaux, two brothers and the man behind the Potagers Natures label. The brothers moved to Paris, but one of them moved back to Bordeaux a few years ago, so now two are there and one in Paris. They have toured with or opened for The Ex several times. Ian Saboya is also in Chocolat Billy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:57pm Liz Berg:

Thanks Fred!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:58pm Ike:

Great show!
Avatar 2:58pm ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

Gas, grass or ass. Gotta remember that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:58pm Michael 98145:

thanks again, DJ Liz
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:59pm chris:

thanks, Liz!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:59pm Mick:

thanks for the super show Liz
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:59pm fred:

Like ESG's, Api Uiz' drummer is a bus driver
  3:04pm Eric:

I take it back. "Collier de perles" is the song, but it's not in Hebrew, though it has bits of Hebrew in it Yiddish? Judaeo-French, if there is such a thing?
  5:52pm Malloo:

Thanks! Liz!

I sent "Ko Re Ya Ba I" 3 times in MARCH!

I know you like that.
