Favoriting Brian Turner: Playlist from May 2, 2017 Favoriting

Order and disorder in a freeform haze of terribly-played guitars, shorted-out electronics, found audio detritus, strange sounds from strange lands all around. Psych-punk-junk, collage, even pop. Lots of in-studio live performances to boot.

i am saying hello.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:31pm
Threemoons:

Bronwyn--I loved all of the music stuff happening then. I lived in Risley; bunch of great musicians there. :) Only place I knew where in one practice room you could have a guy playing a for-real restored harpsichord and two doors down, a thrash/punk band riffing on Bauhaus. Cornell was also where I discovered Philip Glass. If I ever get around to it I should copy some of my mix tapes and send them over to the station... :D

speaking of Pig-Dogs, friend of mine was walking in Santa Monica,(AKA "The West Side") and saw a small blond woman walking a 140 lb. Vietnamese Pot-bellied Pig. Said she was a "Pig-Walker". Yes, really.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:38pm
Threemoons:

Bronwyn, yes, Spamazon haz apparently! Gotta go home, blow the dust off of my 4 cases of tapes and see if they are on 1-hour to a side or 90 min/side so I get the right ones.

Not to be the oldest fart in the building but a few of those tapes include station identifiers for WLIR....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:40pm
Bronwyn Bishop:

@threemoons: awesome :D
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:41pm

Bronwyn--also go see/plug "Dare to be Different"==documentary RE WLIR. I went to the launch at the Tribeca Film Festival, and also got to see The Alarm, A Flock of Seagulls, and Dave Wakeling of the English Beat perform live!!! Wakelking was amazing, btw, just him and a guitar, solo...
