Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 3/8/17 2:28pm fred:

I haven't pledged yet this year. Is there any bug/quirk I should know about to make sure my pledge gets credited to this show? Last year's experience made me wary
Avatar Wed. 3/8/17 2:29pm weinstein:

We are finding it less buggy but definitely work through the widget on our yellow playlist program page (with the avant garde gas station)
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 3/8/17 2:30pm David D:

Fred: Thanks! I think this link should definitely work: pledge.wfmu.org...
  Wed. 3/8/17 2:31pm Dean:

@fred: I know what bug you're describing. Worked fine for me just now. My donation was credited to this show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 3/8/17 2:35pm David D:

  Wed. 3/8/17 2:35pm ruth:

Honestly my life is so much better now that Hildegarde has re-arranged my organs.
  Wed. 3/8/17 2:36pm ruth:

Thanks Dean!
  Wed. 3/8/17 2:36pm Dean:

Maybe so, @ruth, but she confused the hell out of JS Bach.
  Wed. 3/8/17 2:39pm ruth:

Nuns can do that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 3/8/17 2:41pm David D:

I do like the Avant Garde gas station - very pre-post-modern.

the others don't venture far off the farm.... I always get to stream later, and happy to catch the magic as it happens (it is also a great way to make up for being a shut in, catching sets I shoulda been at....)
  Wed. 3/8/17 3:23pm ruth:

Hey Pat! glad to have ya!
  Wed. 3/8/17 3:23pm Spadine:

  Wed. 3/8/17 3:24pm Dean:

I really appreciate the display of the goal in terms of dollars, rather than percentages.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 3/8/17 3:25pm fred:

Doug, that's one of best ways to have a good day in my book
Avatar Wed. 3/8/17 3:26pm weinstein:

Thanks again Fred for your superamazing pledge! And glad your alarm was a false one.
Avatar Wed. 3/8/17 3:26pm weinstein:

Yay Kim. This is Dave Ruder's band playing now and Horse Lords kind of falls into the same zone.
  Wed. 3/8/17 3:27pm ruth:

Aww Doug. Blushing....
Avatar Wed. 3/8/17 3:27pm weinstein:

The carousel was specially chosen to snare super wealthy listeners like Spadine into our graces!

We have loosed the animals into the prize wrangling arena (alongside the butterflies)
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 3/8/17 3:32pm fred:

This Reps set is amazing (I love viola, though not as much as pipa)
Avatar Wed. 3/8/17 3:34pm weinstein:

Both delicious, we played a great pipa set a few weeks back from Min Xiao Fen. You caught that yes?
  Wed. 3/8/17 3:35pm ruth:

@Fred It was So great to hear them upstairs. Our Fire Over Heaven series curated by Che Chen is hitting it out of the park this season
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 3/8/17 3:36pm fred:

Yes! I loved it and bookmarked her site to check for possible gigs nearby
  Wed. 3/8/17 3:38pm Dean:

Jesse Jarnow wrote of that Oneida/Chatham record in Pitchfork last year that "each of the six tracks generates a be-here-now flash of present-tense psychedelia, hallucinations by way of overtones and volume."
Avatar Wed. 3/8/17 3:39pm Doug Schulkind:

Speak, Ruth, speak!
  Wed. 3/8/17 3:40pm Spadine:

Ah, the website would not take the $2.39 I have to my name. But Ashcan would happily show up to play a bell piece in a living room of a pledger of Ridgewood Radio's choice, if that's a prize? My roommates tend to disagree
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 3/8/17 3:40pm Webhamster Henry:

I'm really happy this show is here - sorry if I tend to flap my virtual gums a lot in the comments!
  Wed. 3/8/17 3:41pm $:

Hard to tell you were asking for money at all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 3/8/17 3:44pm David D:

Those prizes again, which are now available for pledges of at least $20, but only for another few minutes:
pledge.wfmu.org...

and

Tony Conrad with Faust: Outside the Dream Syndicate (CD)
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 3/8/17 3:47pm fred:

When I'm not listening, I'm sometimes at a dance show, but usually at Instants Chavirés in Montreuil. This show is close to the spirit of that place
  Wed. 3/8/17 3:47pm ruth:

Ryan Sawyer!! My drum practically all time fave drumcrush
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 3/8/17 3:48pm Ike:

@Spadine, you can pledge now and pay later. You don't need to have the money on you now. Choose "bill me later." And for a show that's on the air, you can call in and pledge any amount, even if it's just $2.39 (but maybe not for a web-only show like this, I'm guessing, depending on how the web form works).
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 3/8/17 3:50pm David D:

Congratulations Fred and Ike on your prizes!
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 3/8/17 3:50pm fred:

I do have a turntable, and I love Oneida and Rhys (who I have seen many times at weird music shows in Paris)
  Wed. 3/8/17 3:51pm ruth:

MattyO -looks great in a suit too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 3/8/17 3:52pm Ike:

Thanks! Ha ha, how did that feline prize draw work? Was my name on a piece of food or something? That's hilarious.
  Wed. 3/8/17 3:52pm Spadine:

thanks Ike!

David and Ruth, you do not have to end at the stroke of 4 if pledges are coming in.

@Doug: Right! There's no show right after this one. How much for one more set? I don't think that's been done on WFMU

We are honored to have this invitation but we have to pee. One more prize to give right after Matty O.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 3/8/17 4:06pm fred:

The Parchman Farm set on Dust to Digital is great. It's a shame it's out of print (I have it, but others should hear this)
Avatar Wed. 3/8/17 4:07pm Doug Schulkind:

Matty O and I went to college together. We were on the college radio station together. Matty wanted to do a freeform show and no one knew what to do with him. So they stuck him in my "jazz" department.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 3/8/17 4:08pm Dave in Vermont:

great show!
thanks
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 3/8/17 4:08pm David D:
