Good afternoon Jason. I won't listen to the whole show this time, it's been a long day (and week)
Avatar 3:07pm
Jason Elbogen:

No problem, Fred. Hope you're recovery's going well.

Jason Elbogen:

Hello, people of Chino.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:12pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

Hey, folks. I wonder how's the weather in Chino today.
  3:14pm
Dean:

Not to be confused with Chino Hills.
  3:22pm
Dean:

Not a lot, but some.
  3:22pm
V Priceless:

yes

V Priceless:

Noticed skipping on Kurt's show too. Chalked it up to stream
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm
fred:

I think Bryce played this track earlier today
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:30pm
fred:

(I was talking about the dead air segment)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:32pm
fred:

It's not a disaster, it's live radio
Avatar 3:34pm
Jeff:

Look for other applications open? Other windows in a browser?
Avatar 3:36pm
Jeff:

...and stuff autoplays. I hate that.
Avatar 3:36pm
ifny:

Freeform: listener and DJ are one!
Avatar 3:36pm
ifny:

We're with you Jason. You're killing it :)
Avatar 3:37pm
ifny:

Clearly Russian haxxors have now turned their attention to that skyscraping bastion of resistance, the 'MU!
Avatar 3:37pm
Jason Elbogen:

I'm killing *something*
Avatar 3:38pm
Jason Elbogen:

Mostly my chances of ever returning to terrestrial radio.
  3:41pm
Dean:

C'mon. It's WFMU. Just say you're programming a John Cage/Yasunao Tone show!
Avatar 3:43pm
Jason Elbogen:

This Brix song starts with the exact same few chords as 'Big New Prinz' I think.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:46pm
fred:

Maybe the Drummer stream should have DJ tag teams for the marathon. This way you could have a glitch challenge with Jeff Golick

They hate our freedoms at FMU.

That requiem was pretty much the greatest thing I've ever heard in my life
  4:10pm
mark r:

Methinks Barbara Lynn doth protest too much.
  4:11pm
mark r:

This is a groovy soulful set man
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:17pm
fred:

Kathak? That's one of the classical Indian dance styles, one that influenced the dance show I saw this week
  4:18pm
mark r:

Wait, this is a dude?
Avatar 4:19pm
ifny:

Does it matter?
Avatar 4:20pm
ifny:

Don't we all have a little dude living inside us, at least some of the time?

So so close to Jason's Elbogen Room: s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...

Never mind, I was listening to the wrong stream for God sakes. Delete all my comments immediately!

Hi Kind Doug!
  4:21pm
mark r:

There's the Indian music I thought I should be hearing!
Avatar 4:21pm
ifny:

@mark r I'm on it! Calling Moscow right now.
Avatar 4:22pm
ifny:

Shit, I got voicemail. My Russian is terrible, but something about "booked until 2020".
  4:24pm
mark r:

although it gave me an interesting idea for a show, "The Sophisticated Jason Show"--alternating tracks of 60s girl groups and incomprehensible Asian gibberish--and I mean that as the highest compliment. If you had accidentally just streamed Sheila's show while watching your playlist go by, you'd understand what I mean.
  4:24pm
mark r:

But rest assured I'm not with you 100%
  4:25pm
mark r:

now not not. Dammit, I'm signing off now. I can't even type right. Maybe I need more than two hours of sleep a night.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:26pm
fred:

The previous track was probably from a dance performance, with the dancer's ankle bells providing part of the rhythm
  4:27pm
mark r:

Ankle bells are hot!
Avatar 4:31pm
ifny:

@Jason Sure it is. We've all been there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:38pm
fred:

Thanks Jason, especially for that Gopi Krishna track. I'm going to get some sleep now
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:40pm
melinda:

Bye Fred, have a good sleep.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:58pm
melinda:

Hemophilia made news when hemophiliacs became a group at risk for AIDS, but I don't remember it being a big deal otherwise.
Avatar 4:59pm
ifny:

Yes, early 40s person here. I had two good friends with it when I was in junior high. It used to be much more dangerous, especially for female haemophiliacs (because of menstruation). But my limited understanding is that there are more drug treatments for it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:00pm
Alex In Illinois:

My data had severe peanut allergies back in the 1970's. It was part of my growing up. Hemophilia is mentioned in history class because members of the Russian royal family had it.
Avatar 5:00pm
ifny:

So people are living longer with it. Those girls (now women) I knew are still alive and kicking.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:00pm
melinda:

ifny maybe that's why things are different. Yeah, early 80s was when AIDS made news.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:00pm
Alex In Illinois:

My Dad had peanut allergies. not "data"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:00pm
melinda:

heehee
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:11pm
melinda:

Remember the boy in the plastic bubble? That made a huge impression on me when i was little.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:21pm
Alex In Illinois:

Now its sounding a little Balkan
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:23pm
melinda:

There was just the one boy.
Avatar 5:24pm
ifny:

And the there was the Balloon Boy Hoax. Epic. Not remotely life threatening, unless you count the parents' hairdos.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:27pm
melinda:

According to wikipedia there were 2 real-life boys upon which the TV movie was based. One of them spent a large portion of his life in a sterile hospital room but there was no mention of a bubble. David the bubble boy lived in Houston, he was the one I knew about.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:28pm
Alex In Illinois:

There was a bubble family in a National Lampoon cartoon, but due to budget cuts, their bubble gets hauled away and abandoned to a dangerous neighborhood.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:02pm
melinda:

bye Jason!
  6:53pm
Jeff g.:

Hi, from App-land.
  6:59pm
Jeff g.:

I accept the glitch challenge offered earlier, btw. I can glitch with the best of them. I can glitch with one inaudible channel tied behind my back.
