Bok. Bok. There is talk of avian flu in Europe and to keep the chooks in the coop. Also to wear masks. Ever tried putting a mask on a chicken?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:53am Amanda:

Sounds like a truly fowl situation

Morning, Amanda (Aamanda?) and all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:05am doctorjazz:

Hi all, was tough leaving the "mother ship", but I'm Drummin' (hate the Trouble/Amanda conflict, but there's always the archives...)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:07am Amanda:

Welcome, friends! Glad to have you all aboard. This greeting will serve as a greeting for everyone else who comments too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:08am listener james from westwood:

Trouble is now my Saturday 9-noon working music. Leads nicely into Mayuko's show. For the main workweek, however, I need RAWK. :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:10am Brian in UK:

Talking of aardvarks, you have to be patient.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:13am Amanda:

I am not able to look at that YouTube at the moment, but I'm certainly intrigued.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:13am listener james from westwood:

Heh, I always think of the "Ant and the Aardvark" cartoons that aired in the US. More or less reskinned Roadrunner cartoons, by the same house that did the Pink Panther toons.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:16am listener james from westwood:

Good Velvets here!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:17am doctorjazz:

Great Velvets live stuff, got the box after hearing it here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:25am Amanda:

Haha! I had forgotten about Ant/Aardvark. Note to self to revisit those. That stuff is right up my street.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:25am listener james from westwood:

Bit of 80s nostalgia in the sound of this 90s track, IMO. Not that that's a bad thing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:30am listener james from westwood:

Amanda, the A&theA episode with the bottle of Instant Hole particularly cracks me up. "I hate you, Instant Hole!"

Good AM, Amanda!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:46am Ken From Hyde Park:

Good morning, Amanda and Nazzessesses. I heard Greg Lake of ELP has passed away. RIP
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:46am Amanda:

Who was your fav? Desi was super cute. But Billy was an actually good singer.

Oh man, that is sad. RIP Greg Lake. Thanks Ken HP.
Avatar 9:54am KP:

Lake should be in HOF if only for "21st Century Schizoid Man."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:57am Jeff Golick:

Mornin', dogchiks.

Thanks for the Homer/Lucky Man love.

Saw Elvis summer 2015, still puts on a great show (even impressed my hard to impress 18 year old daughter).

I was a huge EC fan right from seeing that first photo/logo of him. I went to see maybe his first US concert and ... the openg act was a trio, i think from NJ. The singer/guitarist was pete Townshed clone. He had a springloaded guitar pivot (like Kiss) on his belt he used just once. Did not recover from that group. I think they were called the Streethearts or something. never did track them down.
  10:23am Nate K:

I like this Spizzenergi song. I don't know too much about them, but I dig this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:25am Amanda:

@Nate My favorite Spizz song! The "All You Need is Love" ending puts it over the top for me.

Also my favorite Dodger pitcher. but it is so dramatic, evocative
  10:34am Nate K:

Now that I see other people's choices, I see why this is difficult... I'm sticking with my dude Fern, though.
Avatar 10:39am KP:

My wife Mary Jo grew up in England as they were just breaking. She saw them on the Eurovision contest. We have everything they did and saw the Broadway show twice, including the final show.
Avatar 10:46am KP:

Great cover. Woo!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:47am Stevel:

KP: Agreed, although that's a hard song to screw up!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:47am listener james from westwood:

Agreed, KP!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:47am Amanda:

I think it's better than the cover Blink-182 did. That's just my opinion.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:35am Ken From Hyde Park:

Sorry, but unable to listen just now. Were the voices of The Moody Blues the actual musicians or were they voice actors?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:35am listener james from westwood:

The Cirque du Buffet one is funny because it's true.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:39am listener james from westwood:

Sadly, on one of my Vegas trips, that LOOSEST CRAPS sign also became horrifically true....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:44am Amanda:

Hahahaha, oh no! Sorry to hear. It's that mayonnaise in the buffet.

@Ken HP, yes it really was the Moody Blues! They are in the entourage of people who try to confront Homer and Ned for running out on their new wives.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:45am listener james from westwood:

IIRC a later episode opened with a funeral for Ned's Vegas wife, and her side of the church had showgirls, Gunther & Ernst & Anastasia, and Blue Man Group. So that ep began by demolishing something from a show that began by demolishing something in a previous show. Sometime in 2024: Gunther and Ernst's funeral, attended by lots of stage animals and led by Mister Teeny?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:45am Amanda:

Never let it be said that the Simpsons doesn't pay attention to continuity!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49am Brian in UK:

Mick Jagger becomes a dad at 73. Really. Partner is 29. His son is younger than his great grand daughter. I can't get no.....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:59am listener james from westwood:

Thanks a ton, Amanda!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:59am Charlie:

You can step on my show! I usually step on Matt's show:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:00pm Amanda:

Ah, I wouldn't dream of it!

Thanks 4 listening, all!!!!!
