Just got here, nice set so far from what I see on the list, lots of nice analog hiss on this slide guitar track. Working while I listen.

Doctorjazz - I downloaded it. There is a LOT of throwaway material in my opinion.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:19pm
Little Danny:

Hi Coel!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20pm
Uncle Michael:

I downloaded the Paramount sets too. I'm happy to have all of it. There's a lot I don't need to hear more than once...and tons I'd never program on the show. It's an incredible archive, though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:21pm

This is such a GREAT soundtrack.

Hola, Daniel grande!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:21pm

Wow, I was just thinking that the Blind Willie Johnson had bits of this Ry Cooder piece in it and must have been an influence. Love this soundtrack.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:21pm
Uncle Michael:

Right up there with Mark Knopfler's Local Hero soundtrack.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:22pm
doctorjazz:

Yeah, not surprising, but there must be some stuff (when you pick through it) that is amazing. Have to find the downloads.
Ry Cooder is one of my favorites, since I tuned in, you're just KILLING it (making it hard for me to get my work done).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:22pm

Fearless leader Doug! Great to have you back.

Harry Dean's playing right? The music was a huge component of that film, almost a character.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24pm

Totally agree geez.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24pm
Uncle Michael:

It's a shame Harry Dean's "Just A Closer Walk With Thee" from Cool Hand Luke isn't available anywhere.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:25pm
melinda:

I like playing it at work sometimes but then when Harry Dean's monologue comes on I'm afraid it will make customers uncomfortable. I should edit my playlists for work.

The 2nd or 3rd time I watched Paris, Texas I recognized the diner where they meet in the beginning as the one I once visited with my grandparents as a child. The orange vinyl booth seats were distinctive. I mentioned it to my mom and she said yes, that was where my grandfather liked to hang out.

@Danny: Yes! I grew up in Austin but my parents are from San Angelo and Ft. Stockton. Even though the memory was pretty clear in my mind, I sometimes question whether I've mentally changed things, since memory can be weird that way, so it was interesting to see it confirmed in a film I'd already seen once or twice.
