wow, mr. sigal! amazing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:30pm Ken From Hyde Park:

At the recycling center earlier (first time there), they scanned my driver's license to set up an account of sorts. Weighed the metal and got a receipt. I brought the he receipt to their ATM to get $4. First try, it said account not recognized. Next two tries, it said nothing left on account. Moral: there is no free lunch.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm sphere:

sounds like you got stiffed, KenHP. maybe the moral is that "there is no lunch."
  12:41pm Christian of Glitter:

Hey, Json!
Avatar 12:42pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Lived in CNY for a brief time (90s), was my only exposure to those recycle centers. Strange, otherworldly places...
Avatar 12:43pm Cheyenne:

Woo! Hey Jason!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I should check the recipient again. There's probably something about a $4 setup fee for new customers. Not upset about the issue; just that for five minutes, I was dreaming of the tasty lunch I was going to buy with it.
  12:54pm JakeGould:

@KenFromHydePark: The gleaners in my Brooklyn neighborhood all sell scrap for cash. They are the pros.
Avatar 1:07pm Cecile:
