Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16pm @sugarwolf@:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:17pm steve:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:18pm Amanda:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:18pm Amanda:

@sugarwolf@ AMEN to that!
Avatar 12:18pm coelacanth:

hello Amanda and everyone
...i Love that elephant!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Here's a scenario with Suda the elephant painting away. youtu.be...
Avatar 12:25pm KP:

It is the Turtles!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:28pm Jeff Golick:

I watched some b-roll of Bob walking on a beach in 1985 yesterday, extra footage from some MTV special or feature.
  12:32pm MONEYBAG$:

Those were crazy times, girls were burning their tights
Avatar 12:36pm KP:

Already lovin' this Spirit
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm Jeff Golick:

'twas Pier 84, it appears, for that KC gig:

King Crimson
Live at the Pier, New York
August 2, 1982

"At the end of the summer day, the boisterous young NYC area rockers lined up to file onto Pier 84, jutting out hundreds of feet into the Hudson River. As we faced the stage, and Hell's Kitchen and Midtown Manhattan, the sun was setting behind our backs over the New Jersey Palisades. Larry Snead (interviewed by Sid Smith)"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39pm Amanda:

Aw, that is great!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm Jeff Golick:

You can really smell the Charlie™ on this one.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46pm Amanda:

YES IT IS Francis Macdonald of TEENAGE FANCLUB <3
Avatar 12:47pm KP:

That makes it Byrds related, very nice
  12:54pm johnk77:

great show @amanda
just figured out
the late doug killmer
played bass on
the original hit of
spirit in the sky
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm Amanda:

And *I* just learned that Erik Jacobsen produced it! That record just keeps on giving.
Avatar 1:00pm Roberto:

When I was a kid, I used to emulate the Nestea plunge when falling into the pool.
  1:01pm MONEYBAG$:

We used to do it at the pool in summer camp, which was only about 2 feet deep. Not a great idea.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm listener james from westwood:

Let's re-create this Nestea ad with science! ::zap::
Avatar 1:07pm northguineahills:

wow, I'm here for Nazario Scenario live. (been a nomad, lately)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:08pm Amanda:

Glad to have you @ngh!
Avatar 1:12pm KP:

Nada Surf on wave of gaze
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:16pm Amanda:

I didn't realize this song had a false ending/coda! So here it is.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:16pm Amanda:

And a locked groove.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:17pm listener james from westwood:

You gerryed the mander, then you looped it, you looped it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:24pm listener james from westwood:

"Homer! You've got it set to 'Whore!'"
Avatar 1:24pm northguineahills:

ha, James!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm Ken From Hyde Park:

"Great, now I have to get the cold cream gun!"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm @sugarwolf@:

I'm older than Homer??? This is worse than being older than Jim and Cindy Walsh on BH 90210...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:27pm listener james from westwood:

Doesn't Marge bring him tuna sandwiches b/c tuna has dolphin in it and they're smart?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:27pm listener james from westwood:

That to me is a Swartzwelder touch.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:28pm Sean from Bridgeport:

One of the long running gags that always makes me laugh are Homer's home made penants.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:30pm listener james from westwood:

Marge: "Wouldn't you rather have your sugar bag?"
Avatar 1:32pm northguineahills:

Let's just say, I'm sitting in the right chair!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32pm listener james from westwood:

I'd like to believe that ANGRILY SHITTING was the closed caption on the DVD for that scene.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36pm steve:

i found myself describing to a student a chair i'd seen with extra legs on hinges on the back legs, that catch you if you start to fall backwards. and he immediately pointed out it wasn't a real invention but something from the Simpsons. probably not the only time that's happened.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36pm Amanda:

I mean... it had to be. YES, I love the dolphin line! I kind of think the makeup gun and all the other bad inventions are kind of Swartzweldian too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37pm Amanda:

@steve I hope he dismissively said "Simpsons did it."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37pm listener james from westwood:

Ha ha, Tesla, good call.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:39pm listener james from westwood:

Tesla's ghost prob. would've shown up had Lisa hallucinated Edison, likely by engaging Tom in a duel. Or zapping him with a Tesla weapon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:40pm listener james from westwood:

Obligatory Kate Beaton Tesla comic: www.harkavagrant.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:40pm steve:

love the recent-ish Edison vs Tesla episode of Bob's Burgers
  1:42pm David W & Ruth:

Big Tesla fans here in Ridgewood, all queued up to follow another great one from you! Compliments...
Avatar 1:43pm northguineahills:

@steve: off to the interwebs! (well, in an hour). Eating lunch, if I don't get back to the keyboard, thanks Amanda!

And my own personal excitement is amplified by the impending arrival to my house of WFMU's Gaylord Fields and Robin Edgerton. They are coming to attend a rare performance of L.A. punk legends The Urinals!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:50pm Doug Schulkind:

Sadly, the Urinals are not performing at my house.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:50pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Need to keep all the Teslas straight. There's Nikola Tesla from electricity, the band Tesla, and now there's Tesla Motors, Elon Musk's electric car company.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51pm Amanda:

COOOOOOOL! Tell them both I say a hearty hello!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51pm listener james from westwood:

Wow, FMU DJ mini-conclave in Squirrel Hill!!
Avatar 1:51pm Roberto:

Indeed you do!
  1:52pm Nate K:

Nice! Such an ELO kinda day.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:53pm Amanda:

Nate always comes out of the woodwork for Mr. Lynne
  1:53pm Nate K:

I do, don't I?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:54pm Amanda:

:-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:55pm listener james from westwood:
