One of several versions of Sunflower River blues, tuned to open G actually quite easy to play, If you can fingerpick!
Avatar 3:03am KP:

Hey there, Jeff.
  3:04am P-90:

Hey JC
Avatar 3:04am BEAVO:

  3:10am xrayman:

hi, thanks for big girl. never hear that
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:12am pacific standard simon:

Just finished watching a DVR-delayed Oscar broadcast. Ennio Morricone got his first ever non-honorary Oscar. Ennio-fucking-Morricone!
Avatar 3:12am BEAVO:

Dylan slept on Dave's sofa
Avatar 3:13am Jeff Conklin:

Fuck the Oscars
Avatar 3:13am BEAVO:

He's not dead?
  3:13am Bentangle:

I got a flyer from WFMU today and your premium sounds really cool Jeff. Definitely going to opt for one.
Avatar 3:14am BEAVO:

Really, Fuck Jennifer Lawrence.
Avatar 3:14am Jeff Conklin:

Thanks, Ben. I'll talk about it a little more during my first break.
Avatar 3:14am Jeff Conklin:

Award shows are horseshit on every level.
  3:16am Bentangle:

Morricone is great. The Hateful Eight was dreadful.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:17am pacific standard simon:

I tend to agree, Jeff, but if I won one, I would tend to disagree.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:19am pacific standard simon:

I pass out marathon pledges like little league participation awards, but I choose my DJ premiums like Nobel prizes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22am pacific standard simon:

Theodor Bikel and Bowie got mentioned in the "In Memoriam" reel.
  3:25am Bentangle:

Whoa, this guy did not look like what I thought he'd look like (Little Howlin Wolf).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:27am pacific standard simon:

My favorite movie of the year, The Martian, didn't get nothin'.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31am pacific standard simon:

QMS, love.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40am pacific standard simon:

Never saw them live, but did see Copperhead, which was almost good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49am pacific standard simon:

"This May Be The Last Time" ain't all that different from "I Can't Get No Satisfaction", as it turns out.
  3:53am greysquad:

I heard a little bit of "jumpin' jack flash" in that long guitar intro too...
  3:57am greysquad:

And maybe a bit of "gomper" as well?
  4:09am greysquad:

Hey that's awesome that you got PG Six to record a track, given his output is kinda limited these days... worth the price of admission right there!
Avatar 4:12am Jeff Conklin:

Yeah, Pat (and everybody I asked) said "yes" to the project without hesitation.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:15am Nasty Les:

That Western Skies Motel track was beautiful - will have to check out some more of their stuff
  4:33am Bentangle:

I'm going to continue listening just a little less consciously. Play anything really loud and I'll jump out of bed and send the cat flying. Night all.
Avatar 4:37am Jeff Conklin:

This record sounds like shit. Sorry
  4:45am greysquad:

I've got this on vinyl as well, and honestly it sounds better than mine... though radio does "amplify" the pops a bit more...
  4:45am Ajay:

sweet jams....as always...to start my Monday here in Amsterdam. Thnx
Avatar 4:46am Jeff Conklin:

There's also a static issue here presently.
  5:30am Sybil:

I usually don't have time in the AM to comment, but I just have to... dang, loving the show and then: Bob Brown! I can't believe it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:30am Nasty Les:

Would have sworn this was Neil Young from the voice, and was wondering what Neil Young song it was that I hadn't heard before!
Avatar 5:32am Jeff Conklin:

Aww, thanks, Sybil. You're familiar with Bob's Records? They're being reissued soon...
  5:38am Sybil:

I lived in the DC area when this came out, he got a lot of play on the station I used to listen to (whose call letters I've forgotten, but Doug Schulkind has mentioned it at times). Also, weird coincidence, my uncle was his doctor. It's nice to hear his stuff again.
  5:48am vanya moscow:

Thanks for the acoustic set.
  5:51am greysquad:

great show, jeff! Looking forward to the marathon show/premiums!
  5:52am Lunch:

I'll bet she was listening to WHFS
Avatar 5:55am Jeff Conklin:

Thanks,Vanya. Thats what I usually do the last hour ;)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55am annie:
