Yes, Clear Light's singer went on to have a good career as an actor. Yet, strangely, he didn't appear in "The President's Analyst" with the rest of the group (I think he had not actually joined the band at the time of filming). IMDb tells us Clear Light was brought into the movie only after the Grateful Dead declined the offer!
