bonjour Sasha !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:03am ausmanx:

a strange show? so there'll be no Eagles then? good evening, all...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:03am sashajones:

Hi, Pierre!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:04am sashajones:

Well strange could refer to placement too, right? No Eagles planned though...
  6:05am Cooh John:

Good morning. Let the moonlit tears roll on by.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:06am sashajones:

Good evening to ya ausmanx -- in all honesty, it won't be all that strange, I've noticed that that sorta mood often doesn't make it out of my headspace in any kind of discernible way
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:07am sashajones:

Morning, Cooh John! Indeed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:18am ausmanx:

Morley's a fine start... he can be strange if you listen intently. Meanwhile we're just trying to get the rapid Christian extremists who have taken over the government to stop killing live music... found myself at the front of the weekend's march... www.news.com.au...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:18am annie:

good morning everyone!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:21am sashajones:

good morning, annie!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:23am sashajones:

Oh wow, that's nuts. And verryyy suspect that casinos are exempt!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:24am sashajones:

Speaking of live music, I'm seeing Mary Lattimore open for Julia Holter tonight and I'm so looking forward.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:30am ausmanx:

Afraid it's all about money, of course. smart people organising the protests though. we might get someone. if anyone wants to sign... we need to spread the word www.keepsydneyopen.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:00am annie:

i really am still here.. attending to some work.. listening..
  7:00am KP:

Sweet sounds, Sasha.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:03am sashajones:

Thanks, KP!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:03am sashajones:

Whatcha working on, annie?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:05am annie:

some copy-editing... an article on the gmo-labeling controversy. i'm not smart enough to write them, just find the errors, then post to the website
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:07am annie:

some days i get none to fix, some days i get up to 7 or 8. some artucles are short and sweet, some are complex
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:10am maestroso:

G'morning sashajones. Lovely sounds this morning.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:13am ausmanx:

i thought the idea of that Tuxedomoon record was awful, but every track i've heard seems great
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:14am sashajones:

Morning, maestroso! Thank you :)
  7:15am hawkeye:

Pyramids on Mars!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17am sashajones:

hi hawkeye!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:29am ausmanx:

ah The Nolans, Lemmy's favourite band...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:31am sashajones:

Ha, never knew about that until now!
Avatar 8:07am Wild Neil:

@Ausmanx-sorry about the lockout laws. I don't think every right-wing Christian would agree with them. I know I don't. Live and let live. If they want to keep their bar open till four or whaterver, so what? However, it is sad some who drink resort to violence. Is it all part of the Australian macho culture? To an outsider, Australians seem more macho than American men...to this outsider anyway, all things being equal...sorry if that sounds like a stereotype, never been to Oz...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:08am Guido from Cologne:

Los Calambres?
Or Los Calambrinas?
Avatar 8:20am Wild Neil:

@Ausmanx-never mind, stupid question. Sorry. There are ALL kinds of people in Australia just like here, sorry to stereotype. Truce?
Avatar 8:27am Wild Neil:

This Ahmed Malek sounds like music from Mad Men like when Don goes to California or something...,.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:30am sashajones:

@Wild Neil -- good morning and true!
Avatar 8:31am Wild Neil:

@Sasha-Just Mad Men comment, right?
Avatar 8:32am Wild Neil:

Rakta is really heavy...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:32am sashajones:

Avatar 8:37am Wild Neil:

@Sasha-cool show, very freeform!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:39am sashajones:

Thanks Neil!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:40am sashajones:

You'd never know that when I first got here I auditioned for a country show ;)
  8:41am Pascal:

Good morning Sasha,
Very good show!! thank to u
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:41am Ken From Hyde Park:

I hope the "Pledge by the Tear" marathon planning is going well.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:41am ausmanx:

sorry, was distracted... yeah, Lemmy shared a bill with the Nolans on some bizarre occasion and they got on like a house on fire. Neil, that macho thing isn't really the case any more here, though it's an old mid-century image which dogs Australia, i think. there's much less drunkenness and violence in Sydney than in most large UK cities, for instance (don't know about the US). these laws pretend that they're about safety, but it's just not a serious problem. it's about the casinos.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:45am sashajones:

Morning, Pascal, thank ~you~!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:48am maestroso:

Ah, really enjoyed this show, Sasha, thanks for your free-form creativity.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50am Ken From Hyde Park:

RIP Sonny James, age 87.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52am sashajones:

Thanks so much maestroso, that's really nice to hear!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:53am sashajones:

Ken, thank you! I'm looking forward to the whole crazy wonderful time
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:55am annie:

hhmm, my post did not take.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:55am Ken From Hyde Park:

Yeah, I wonder who will be your co-hosts. Your show was a nice wake-up to start the day.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:59am sashajones:

Thanks for listening, everybody!

Used to love this Rainy Day cassette back when. Has it been reissued on cd?
Avatar 1:53pm Van in DC:
