Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:07am coelacanth:

howdy Jeff and others
- i wish the 'dead played like that for 4-5 more years. that's their best album,to me. (vintage dead being neck and neck with it)
of course that song is great no matter how it's done, it seems.
Avatar 3:08am BEAVO:

Digging that trippy guitar man!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:08am coelacanth:

hey Joe!
Avatar 3:13am Jeff Conklin:

Morning, all.

@coel: I think their first is very underrated and its the one I use to convert haters often :)

heeeey Joe and Beavo
Avatar 3:18am Joe B:

Hey coelacanth!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:24am coelacanth:

( ...i should add "anthem of the sun" and maybe "aoxomoxoa" and just say they're my 4 favorites.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25am coelacanth:

this is killer! it's new to me.
Avatar 3:28am Jeff Conklin:

Theses days side 1 of Anthem is my favorite studio Dead.

This is brand new Rhyton, featuring Dave Shuford of NNCK on guitar...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:32am pacific standard simon:

My favorite Dead is Veneta, OR 08-27-72 -- a benefit for Ken Kesey's brother's dairy farm.
Avatar 3:37am Joe B:

great cut right here
Avatar 3:39am Jeff Conklin:

@Simon: Have you seen the film?
  3:40am Eric Hat:

Morning Jeff
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40am pacific standard simon:

@Jeff - No, but I see that it is available on youtube, so I will.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40am Guido from Cologne:

Hello Jeff, Joe, coelacanth, p.s.s., everyone!
Avatar 3:41am Jeff Conklin:

It's a fun watch. The DVD has spectacular sound and color.

Hey, Eric and Guido. Thanks for coming in...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:43am pacific standard simon:

Heya Guido!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:45am pacific standard simon:

I was 16 that summer, and in the midst of Deadheadness (1971-74).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:48am coelacanth:

hey Guido!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49am pacific standard simon:

Also, I'd like to second what Joe said about Our Solar System -- trippy, like those extended Country Joe And The Fish jams.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:55am pacific standard simon:

Say Jeff -- what's your official position on Amon Düül II? Like? No like? Ever play?
Avatar 3:56am Jeff Conklin:

I love ADII up to and including Wolf City.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:56am pacific standard simon:

Oh, wait, just found the "All artists played by The Avant Ghetto with Jeff Conklin" link. You have.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57am joeray:

  3:58am martin:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:59am pacific standard simon:

Agreed. Wolf City the song is kind of a peak, and then... diminishing returns.
  4:00am martin:

rattlesnakeplumcakes for all. but mostly, it's jut slush here.
  4:01am greysquad:

who needs the Dead if you've got Yximalloo!! his puppet shows are better than any space jam i've ever seen... (only one for the record in it was in the late eighites)l
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:01am coelacanth:

the earlier discussion reminded that i'd saved a grateful dead archive site a while back...but it's either gone or it changed. i found one but it wont play.
...i seized the moment when i bookmarked it and recorded the show that meant the most...but there's more.
it had the show the vintage dead album was culled from. i want that! my album is scratchy plus there are other songs- done in that early style.
  4:02am martin:

Kale snail.
  4:04am greysquad:

witness this...
Avatar 4:04am Tusalava:

Yes, Jim Moscoso is Victor Moscoso's brother
  4:04am greysquad:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:05am pacific standard simon:

And a dehypnotizedtoothpaste to you, too, martin.
Avatar 4:05am Tusalava:

  4:06am greysquad:

  4:06am martin:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:13am pacific standard simon:

Exploring the Jim Moscoso connection...

Avatar 4:13am Jeff Conklin:

@Tusalava: James and I are in touch. He sent me the tracks as well as some unreleased Fraser & DeBolt, which I'll be getting to in the next hour ;)
Avatar 4:19am Tusalava:

Oh snap!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:22am Nasty Les:

Nice Harmonia track! Was lucky enough to go and see Michael Rother live on Saturday.
Avatar 4:24am Jeff Conklin:

@Nasty: Nice! I saw him at Lincoln Center some years ago. he was great
Avatar 4:26am Tusalava:

this song is for going fast.
Avatar 4:30am Tusalava:

Thanks again for another great show, Jeff!
Avatar 5:56am Jeff Conklin:

Thanks, Tusalva. Anything I can do to help :)

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:58am Guido from Cologne:

Very beautiful
enjoyed very much
Avatar 12:53pm quinn:

I segmented grapefruits from Rhyton through to the first mic break. DAMN that's time consuming. Really perfect grapefruit segmenting music though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:35pm Santos L. Halper:

Wonderful show Jeff, esp. that epic first set; will have to look into Rhyton, wow.

I presume you'll play some Kantner tonight, so thanks in advance. I pulled out Baxter's and Crown this afternoon, now hearing about Signe too?! Sigh...
