Good Evening my Greasy Friends!
  7:14pm Darondo:

Didn't I say this was gonna be a great program? Didn't I?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:15pm KimSorise:

Thank you kindly Darondo
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:20pm Doug Schulkind:

This is a freaking masterpiece!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:24pm KimSorise:

Pretty near perfect song - no doubt
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:27pm listener james from westwood:

Wow. This "Dirty Work," man.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:32pm KimSorise:

Over the top to say the least
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33pm melinda:

I like the Moving Finger!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42pm KimSorise:

Glad you dig the Dorothy Ashby - Thanks for tuning in Melinda
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:06pm KimSorise:

Just checking in... is everybody alright? Groovin' & greasin'?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:06pm listener james from westwood:

Oh yes, very much so!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:07pm KimSorise:

Glad you're still with me, James!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:21pm melinda:

Doing fine here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:30pm Doug Schulkind:

I completely understand why you chose not to play "Volkswagen" at this time, Kim.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:33pm melinda:

I loved 3-2-1 Contact.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:34pm listener james from westwood:

Those PBS shows (Sesame Street, Electric Co, 3-2-1 Contact) had some very fun and funky music not dumbed down to what might have been perceived as kids' music. The Pointer Sisters music behind those pinball cartoons was the bomb, f'r instance.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:39pm KimSorise:

Oh yes I have the 12" of Pinball Number Song - brilliant. So much amazing music on PBS TV - shit even the close of Sesame Street with all the percussive bells sends chills.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:43pm melinda:

@listener james: so true. Great music to have as a kid. The 70s brought children's tv programming to a new level. Kim I hadn't thought about the Sesame Street closing theme in forever but you're right, it was good!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:44pm melinda:

My first hearing/viewing of Stevie Wonder was on Sesame Street, playing Superstition w/full band.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:45pm listener james from westwood:

They credited kids with the ability to perceive and enjoy, and their parents with the willingness to explain. And also enjoy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:48pm melinda:

I'm digging Jerry Moore.

GIVE THE DRUMMER RADIO PROGRAMMING ALERT...
If you thought the live radio party train was headed to the yard for some axel massaging, well friend, you'd be terribly wrong. The live radio party train shall continue its wild ride on the Drummer Stream in the form of...

IF YOU LOSE YOUR HORSE, with Sam Segal, live from Minneapolis! Three more hours of live radio are coming up! Sam's playlist page is here: wfmu.org...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:49pm Sam Segal:

Took the written text right outta my fingers, Doug!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:51pm Doug Schulkind:

Save your finely manicured digits for the important stuff, Sam Segal. And I don't mean mainlining wasabi-mayo Doritos®!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52pm listener james from westwood:

This is why we come to Global Grease and FMU: for those lost classics!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:57pm KimSorise:

Thank you all so very much; hope you enjoyed the show. Time for a bourbon; until next week!
Avatar 8:57pm bobdoesthings:

sam started a blog where he'll be posting an obscure album per week - ifyouloseyourhorse.blogspot.com
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:58pm Doug Schulkind:

@KimSorise
I bet Fred could use a bourbon, too. Beagle-equivalent of bourbon, that is.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:00pm listener james from westwood:

Many thanks, Kim! Always a joy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:06pm KimSorise:

Thank you James! Have a great evening!
