Sounds from the archive of the future, sonic drilling into the past, dissonant rumbling, lyrical melodies, noises (human, animal, mechanical, digital) inscrutable yet honest, desultory but consistent.

@Ike: Never asked you: You into tripe? I know there’s tripe in Sunset Park but I have never tried it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:07pm Ike:

Hi Jake -- nah, not usually. I have some friends who LOVE it though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:09pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Lisa S.: You expect us to swallow this tripe?
Lunchlady Doris: Who wants fresh tripe?
Avatar 11:10pm JakeGould:

@Ike: Yeah, as a kid who was never religious but grew up in a kosher neighborhood, the whole idea of tripe grosses me out. That said seeing full beef tongues in shop windows as a kid freaked me out.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:10pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- enjoying the rare Detour ! - esp. as adjunct to 'house' chores...
Avatar 11:14pm Inner Ear Detour:

I vote yea for tongue
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:18pm Ike:

Yeah, the occasional lengua taco is delicious, but seeing one in a shop window doesn't sound too appealing. I guess they don't do that anymore? I'm sure I've never seen it.
  11:32pm 777:

...as I was saying, why bother lamenting the decay of language, civility, and intelligence? thanks for sharing these pieces, DJ.
