  3:21pm JakeGould:

@Greg: “15 years from now I'm hoping to get the opportunity to say…” So in 2030 you will be hanging out at the Space Wawa saying that to random passers-by?

@fred: ALWAYS.
@Jake: As I am North Jersey born-and-bred, it will likely be the Space Quick Chek.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:29pm Ike:

Hanging out at a space QuickChek? Almost sounds like an episode of Rick & Morty. Last week's ep. is brilliant BTW. And it has no serialization, so even Jake might like it. Ha.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:29pm fred:

@RRN63: That doesn't make sense! Why not a sober Shane while you're at it?
  3:30pm r i s k y:

Great show!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...*that's* not possible - he'd die...
  3:33pm JakeGould:

@Ike: Laugh at my hatred of the modern obsession with serialized dramas, but when I watched “Magnum P.I.” this week I spent 45 minutes enjoying a comprehensible plot. What was “True Detective” season 2 about? 8 hours of headache and complaining on social media. FACE!

Great show!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:39pm Greg from ZONE 5:

It's like Svenonius doing Jonathan Richman!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40pm fred:

@RRN63: I saw The Pogues, but the time I missed them was more memorable: there was a pub in front of my college and I went there a day after they'd been there (I didn't know about that). I was a regular, and told upfront: The Pogues were there last night, we don't have anything worth drinking left. I did drink Jameson 12-year on the house that day, I think that was worth drinking
  3:40pm JakeGould:

@Greg: I guess I will shut my mouth about how you like your pork roll then.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:43pm Gaylord Fields:

Beat and riffage are both Happening!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:44pm Īke:

@Jake@3:33, har har, that's like picking Satan to represent all angels, or Trump to represent all... anything. Even TV show hosts.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:47pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Summer jams from Mr. Billy Jam!
  3:48pm JakeGould:

@Īke: I look forward to the 48 episode serial drama that will once—and for all—answer all questions on human nature and behavior. Apparently HBO now gets dibs on new “Sesame Street” episodes, so perhaps a 48 episode narrative arc on Telly?
  3:48pm JakeGould:

@KenFromHydePark: Errr… Check the list, Francis.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:51pm fred:

@Ike: Could you please not say the T-word? Though why do I care, I'm French! OK, that enthusiasm was misplaced, our politicians are awful too
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:51pm Ike:

I don't remember Telly, but I'm looking forward to the gritty award-winning arc about the Yip-Yips discovering that life is meaningless and that existence is an empty void, so why not disintegrate humans and steal their radios?
  3:52pm Matt Warwick:

  3:53pm JakeGould:

@Ike: “Telly Monster is a slightly neurotic young monster who lives at 1304 Sesame Street.” muppet.wikia.com...
  3:54pm Matt Warwick:

Double awesome.
  3:55pm JakeGould:

“However, Telly evolved over time, gaining a much stronger emotional range. “His main thing now is that he believes totally in whatever he’s into,” says Robinson “And he can turn on a dime and that doesn’t belie what he was feeling before. He can go from great joy to great sorrow and it’s all totally genuine.”” So basically Telly is a low grade sociopath… Perfect for HBO!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57pm fred:

I'll miss Jon Stewart, but I'll miss Amy Schumer more.
And, BTW, Islam Chipsy rules, but even more with Eek, best show in this year's Sonic Protest

All cats are pussies.
Avatar 4:18pm Cheyenne:

Most cats don't really like other cats, so who cares?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:19pm Gaylord Fields:

@Greg from ZONE 5: My male cat has an ongoing booty-call situation with a stuffed-toy cat who is male-identified (by us — zir name is Bruce), although the toy cat has no genitals and the meat cat is neutered.
  4:21pm LandOfJƏrƏmy:

this No Joy track is very nice to listen to

...erm - not a box here to check for inanimate bi meat cat, far as I can see Sir...I wouldn't be surprised if there's a connection to what's on the T's head however...
  4:29pm JakeGould:

What about that 1980s rockabilly band, “The Gay Cats?” Their famous hit was “Gat Cat Strut” right?

Avatar 4:47pm V Priceless:

this tune has been on my mind for months - great to hear it on the mighty FMU! I believe it is John Cale-produced, if memory serves.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:47pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...ain' no thang to the astrology enthusiast:
- ya got yer Horizon left & right - & ... :
..."A circle of longitude passing from the South point of the horizon, through the zenith to the North point of the horizon. It coincides with geographical longitude - a great circle crossing the equator and passing through the poles. Every point on the Earth's surface has its own meridian or circle of longitude, which passes through its zenith. The point on the heavens where the projection of this circle intersects the ecliptic, marks the midheaven (MC) or the cusp of the Tenth House.

The Sun's place at noon is on this meridian,
[this is where A.M. & P.M. on the clock comes in kiddos]

and the distance from this point to the horizon in either direction constitutes the Sun's semi-diurnal arc. The same is true of any celestial body. (v. Semi-arc.) The term is loosely and incorrectly applied to the midheaven, to the degree of the zodiac thereon, and even to the whole of the X' house. On an astrological map, it is approximated in the vertical line passing from the cusp of the Tenth House, at the top of the map, to the cusp of the Fourth House, at the bottom"...

This set has been so awesome!!! I've been on phone calls, so I'm going to have to listen to it again later. SO GOOD.
Avatar 5:10pm Jeff:

Sometimes he's quietly passive-aggressive.

And he finds it annoying and offensive when four-legged creatures sneak into the house via the television. That causes him to huff and make little bear noises.

But I don't think he feels the need to monitor the borders of WFMU - he knows perimeter defense at the radio station is Somebody Else's Problem, so he can just lounge and demand maximal petting.
