Avatar 3:17pm Chris from DC:

Needed a good headcleaner here, thanks.
Avatar 3:27pm steve:

has anyone else been singing/humming/whistling Rinky Roo Rah for the past week?
Avatar 3:28pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

@steve: hell yes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:30pm Webhamster Henry:

This is a very 1969 organ.
Avatar 3:32pm BigLankyGeordie:

Howdee all from way over here in little old England! Hey I was born in 1969!!!!! Awesome track :-)
Avatar 3:32pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Also, three cheers for the FMU app's ability to download shows for offline use. Makes a five-hour flight rock like magic. ... fading to sleep with Hearty White in headphones turned my head into a surreal wonderland of goo. .... AND the Rinky Roo Rah got in there as well...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:34pm Webhamster Henry:

I may still have the "perhaps you won't believe it..." record.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:47pm Polyus:

@Rev - archives have gotten me through a couple of flights as well, Hearty included.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm Andrew Waterloo:

I find the archives good for study sessions. Beats maintaining a music collection on my phone and tablet.

Avatar 4:42pm BigLankyGeordie:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:44pm Scott Williams:

@BigLankyGeordie it's a side project from a guy in Psychic Ills and Rhyton

Thanks Scott, looking it up now, really swampy, rich sound - will try to lay my hands on. ;-) Thanks for bringing to my attention. I love WFMU!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:49pm Ike:

Wow! Icy cool sounds! Hey @Jake, seems like I passed my "infection" onto you somehow! You were wisely telling me to chill out about the troll on Fri., and then you got pulled into the hot zone yrself. I thank you for your efforts.
Avatar 4:50pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Avatar 4:51pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

I missed a good hot zone? Egad, I leave you people alone for one week...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:54pm Ĩkє:

Just a weekend, RTD! See: Todd-a-phonic (4:18), Mary Wing, Gaylord, Dave Mandl.

ALWAYS stand back from the gap(ing abyss).
Avatar 4:57pm BigLankyGeordie:

Just to say don't normally manage to tune in to WFMU on a Monday night but will be in future - some fabulous music here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:58pm Scott Williams:

Thanks BigLankyGeordie! Happy to have you here.
  5:00pm spodiodi:

Thanks for another nice show, Scott!
  5:00pm P-90:

@Ike: "She" was on Mary Wing too? Missed that one this week. That was one long birthday party.
  5:02pm spodiodi:

One more hour oops!
  5:02pm JakeGould:

@Ike: It’s cool. I was having an odd weekend and “it” was just standing there waiting to be smacked. As far as I am concerned, my response of “Why not just get an account?” is a good button to push when dealing with that specific troll.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:05pm Matt from Springfield:

Wow, awesome Drab Majesty! 4AD-like!

Yo Scott! And Scotians!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:06pm Matt from Springfield:

...and the perfect segue into Lush! :)
  5:07pm JakeGould:

Whoa! Lush! One of the better and overlooked early 1990s bands.
Avatar 5:07pm steve:

in the next hour someone is going to hand deliver a single, fresh Fairmount Bagel, direct from Montreal, to my door. i'm pretty excited.
Avatar 5:08pm BigLankyGeordie:

Lush! OMG! Remember stage-diving to this and trying miserably to snog Miki at the end of the show - 20 years ago! Yikes!
  5:08pm P-90:

Matt! What's shakin? You gonna make Goddamn Dave's joint tonight?
  5:08pm JakeGould:

@steve: Whoa. Nude?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:08pm Matt from Springfield:

OMG awesome steve!!!
Did you order some Montreal smoked meat while they were up there?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:09pm Matt from Springfield:

Hey P-90! Making Dave's with certainty tonight!

(I last made it two weeks ago, to pre-recorded fun...but then YOU weren't there!)
Avatar 5:10pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Has enjoyified marvelous show.
Avatar 5:10pm steve:

nude? is that some sort of bagel slang?
Avatar 5:11pm Chris from DC:

Ack, missed Lush.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:11pm Matt from Springfield:

"Are you a bagel nudist, or bagel naturist?"
  5:12pm BLT:

Yeah Scott!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:12pm Īke & the Head of a Dead Ram:

@BLG, woah, the ladies of Lush seemed like they would brook no nonsense. Did you get punched or smacked?
  5:12pm JakeGould:

@ChrisfromDC: Seppuku is the only choice now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:12pm Marcel M:

Hi Scott

Avatar 5:13pm Chris from DC:

Oh, Tiny Desk Unit, you made my late afternoon.
Avatar 5:14pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Unsung heroes of DC. They must be more sung.
Avatar 5:15pm Chris from DC:

I'd love to see Superior Viaduct give them a proper reissue.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:15pm Matt from Springfield:

Tiny Desk Unit of DC? I shall have to sing these locals then!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:15pm Scott Williams:

welcome late-comer buddies!
Avatar 5:16pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:16pm Matt from Springfield:

Late-comers enjoying Scott's after-show within a regular show! Hi!
  5:18pm P-90:

@Matt: listened to the first hour or so, found it unexpectedly hard to warm up to a canned Goddamned. Also I think people came over to vist that night. Pesky people, don't they know any better......?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:20pm Matt from Springfield:

There are some times of week people should only meet each other via comment sections!...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:23pm fleep:

Practicing safe text.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:23pm Matt from Springfield:

+10 fleep! :)
Avatar 5:25pm BigLankyGeordie:

@ Ike, just an icy stare was enough to do for me! :-) As well as looking incredible, they were an amazing band live.
Avatar 5:29pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

The only male in Lush committed suicide. A true tragedy - just observing...
Avatar 5:35pm Claw!:

Got DAYUM, Scott! This set, tho... Killer!
  5:37pm JakeGould:

@RevRabbitNov63: Only “male” in Lush? There were two guys and two ladies. One of the guys offed himself. Thems all she wrote. Because it’s Chinatown.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:37pm Philthy woman:

Avatar 5:37pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- yes Jake, I'm mistaken: en.wikipedia.org...
  5:38pm JakeGould:

I bet Scott has Lush on the brain because Ride has been a reunited thing recently.
Avatar 5:42pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Lush's song '500' - a love song from a lady to a car - is one of the catchiest damned things ever in my book. I'm ashamed to @ all make light of their of their drummer's passing - it ended the band & it's incredibly sad.
  5:45pm JakeGould:

FWIW, I was mainly into their very shoegazey first EPs and first LP, Gala… The rest of it when they attempted to be poppy—like what Ride did with “Going Blank Again”—doesn’t resonate with me.
  5:45pm P-90:

RRN63: agreed on all counts. And if Ride can mount a reunion tour, why not Lush?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:46pm Matt from Springfield:

Estonian, methinks!
"Tartu [city] Pop and Rock Institute"?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:46pm Scott Williams:

Finnish, actually
Avatar 5:48pm Claw!:

Ooh, I heard this on McGasko's show last week... Very cool track! :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:50pm Matt from Springfield:

Ah, thanks Scott.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:51pm Ike:

@P-90, I believe the surviving members have stated that there can be no Lush without their drummer. :(
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:51pm Scott Williams:

agreed, Claw! killer track
Avatar 5:54pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

@Ike: Wow.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:56pm Scott Williams:

Avatar 5:57pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57pm Matt from Springfield:
