Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49am Gary:

If she kills that cute rodent, I am personally holding you responsible!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55am Charlie:

Hi, Gary. No bunnies will be harmed in the making of today's radio program! (The bunny's name is Bunzo, btw.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57am Gary:

Thank you. Just for that, I will spare you any Bedtime for Bunzo jokes
Avatar 11:58am Michael:

Hello Charlie. And Gary. And Bunzo. Saw Kumiko (and Bunzo) too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:58am listener james from westwood:

I come for the music, I stay for the Bunzo journalism. How do, Charlie and all!!
Avatar 11:59am ndbob:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:01pm Dominick:

  12:05pm mauri:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10pm Bunzo:

You should sleep with one eye open. Just sayin.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10pm Doug Schulkind:

Hello Mr. Floppy Ears! (Yes, I mean you, Charlie.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15pm Parq:

Ah. I knew that voice was familiar. 1K Clowns did "Kitty Cat Max", a Greasy Kid Stuff fave.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16pm Charlie:

Hey, Doug, I'm throwin' you a party here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:17pm Dominick:

Oh boy! bang bang
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:17pm tikk:

Thanks Charlie for bringing us back to the 90s when goofy fun rap had its time in the sun. Be nice if rap tacked in that direction again.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:18pm listener james from westwood:

Breeders!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm the Canterbury wood-elf:

@tikk Totally agree. There was so much good stuff back then. The gangsta thing seems to have run its course, so maybe a Neo-Daisy Age isn't out of the questions.

Great tunes thus far, Charlie...
Avatar 12:22pm ndbob:

great set Charlie!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:23pm Jeff Golick:

I'm hoping this movie Dope helps in that regard, @tikk.
(a preview: www.youtube.com...)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29pm doctorjazz:

Hi all, hi bunny!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:30pm Charlie:

There will be another fun rap later. (And maybe some darker rap too.)
  12:33pm Listening Out There:

"Thankin' about the thangs..."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm Dominick:

Delivery!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm doctorjazz:

Alan Sherman next, please...
  12:36pm Listening Out There:

"That's Morris" as performed by Joel Grey's dad....
  12:36pm steve marcus:

Oy that's Morris!
  12:40pm Steve Marcus:

Fishbone? thx
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm Charlie:

"when you see him walk past with some schmaltz on his vest..." reminds me of someone I used to know
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm tikk:

Thanks Jeff G, that actually looks, well, dope. And doper than the trailer for the Straight of of Compton biopic of NWA.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm northguineahills:

I just went through all of my DJ Shadow vinyl last weekend, it was fun.
  12:44pm frenchee:

  12:45pm Peter & Sarah:

  12:54pm steve Marcus:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm Charlie:

Actually, I just show myself the alcohol, period.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58pm pacific standard simon:

It's a bunny-full day in the neighborhood.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07pm Charlie:

As I mentioned, I recently saw Kumiko the Treasure Hunter. Also the Lambert & Stamp docu. Both excellent. Anyone seen anything else good?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:09pm pacific standard simon:

I really wanted to see Kumiko the Treasure Hunter, but it only showed in my local theater for a week and I missed it. Some on-demand option in the future, I guess.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:10pm pacific standard simon:

Heh. Clever segue.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:10pm Charlie:

(heh heh)
Avatar 1:13pm Michael:

Saw Kumiko and liked it as well. Just saw Map of the Stars from Cronenberg this weekend and while not top notch from him was suitably creepy. Somewhat embarrassed to admit watching the Bob Weir doc on Netflix but I’m reading “Too Many Roads” currently and this was a nice compliment.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm pacific standard simon:

I want to love this cover of "Harmony in My Head", but the fuzzed-up guitar seems unnecessary.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm Parq:

Wow, loving all these nifty covers!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:18pm Charlie:

Map of the Stars was quite creepy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:21pm pacific standard simon:

I never make it to the movie theater anymore. Last night I watched the 1935 Crime And Punishment, with Peter Lorre, on TV, though.
Avatar 1:25pm ndbob:

Yep - the Eydie version is also really good
  1:25pm Santos L Halper:

@ Michael: don't be ashamed of Bobby ; ) I'm glad to learn there's a doc out there. I'll have to pull it out before i see him next...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:30pm listener james from westwood:

Good to hear Neneh Cherry!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:30pm Doug Schulkind:

Gotta run to work. Have a great last 1/4 of the show, Charlie!
  1:30pm steve Marcus:

love this
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33pm Mister Dobalina:

FIRST time I've ever heard DOOM on FMU! Amazin', who knew the DJ's at this radio station were this cool!?!?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:34pm Mister Dobalina:

*da BOW down*
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:35pm northguineahills:

Billy Jam plays Doom from time to time.
Avatar 1:35pm ndbob:

This is pretty good - but how could an LP with a rodent reference in the title be bad
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:35pm Mister Dobalina:

Now, I know.
  1:36pm Listening Out There:

Klaus! Yah!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37pm Brian in UK:

How do you translate toe jam football?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:39pm Charlie:

you mean, into English?
Avatar 1:39pm ndbob:

lol Charlie
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:42pm Brian in UK:

From the original Scouse.

The flip, Wilomina is a joy.
Avatar 1:43pm Michael Shelley:

Excellent show Charlie!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:45pm Parq:

I would provide the German translation, except that a single word that long would screw up the framing on the comments column.
Avatar 1:46pm glenn:

have people wished the drummah happy birthday yet?
  1:46pm Listening Out There:

Parq: C'mon, give it a try!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:46pm Charlie:

Thanks for kicking it off, Michael!
Avatar 1:46pm glenn:

oh, and even more super hits came yesterday, mister shelley. it sounds pretty dang good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49pm Parq:
