Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:18am Brian in UK:

Hello Jeffrey 'n folks.
Start as you mean to go on.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:27am Brian in UK:

ESP is that Extra Special Pyjamas? As opposed to Steve Goodman's Red Pyjamas.
  6:27am Cooh John:

Good morning annie, Sem, Brian. Jeffrey, nice way to start the weekend.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:28am annie:

way back in 1970-ish the AM radio station i listened to out of buffalo, wkbw, had the best deejay. he played music on his show not heard on typical AM top-40. Tim Kelly was his name, i think. one day i'm listening and he played this wrangly folk-singer-type guy: ramblin' jack elliot.. i think tim kelly went on to deejay in texas after a while, the googles told me so.
Avatar 6:28am Sem Chumbo:

ESP strikes again. Fascinating story, and what a roster of artists passed thru the studios. Never would have known a thing about it, except for the Fun 91:-D
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:34am Brian in UK:

Recently bought Phil Ochs Live in Lancing 1973. Mainly to hear Phil when things were getting darker. It holds up really well. Caught him just before the end. These songs kind of capture that period.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:37am annie:

Phil's sister, Sunny, was a deejay at WRPI, she had a top-notch show..
Avatar 6:42am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Phil's sister - wow.
Goode Saturday, Folke.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:43am Brian in UK:

Avatar 6:48am Sem Chumbo:

Good day, RRN63, and BiUK.
@Brian: Stanley dropped by Kurt's show yesterday to remind me Zzzzzzero Hour returns Monday morning @ 9.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:50am Brian in UK:

Yes Sem fill-in. I was going to mention it to you. Oops.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:52am annie:

wow, does she commute there? that's quite a haul from albany. my homeboy mark drnek also has a show there. he's a floater. used to do a show in oneonta. small town radio is very cool; they did a great job when irene went through.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:58am Brian in UK:

No idea annie. Time difference is not great for me to listen.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:01am annie:

the station is located in the small town of roxbury. all those little towns up there are a ways apart. roxbury is very artsy.

Villagers have been touring the album over here. Jeffrey, he might come your way, a session maybe??
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:31am LynnsBrother:

G' morning. I always liked the picture of Phil on the back of Pleasures of the Harbor album.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:46am Brian in UK:

@LynnsBrother with his daughter Meegan, it is lovely. The front cover with the Lenny Bruce's tatty coat and torn left elbow does him no favours. Mind you CD covers now do no one any favours.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29am doctorjazz:

Hi-just tuned in to some Klezmer blues, cool
Avatar 8:32am Sem Chumbo:

Delightful selection of spins this morning, Jeffrey, accompanying the arrival of the Sun for the first time after many, many grey days. Greatly appreciated here in New Scotland.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:35am doctorjazz:

Pretty nice way to start the day in good old Staten Island as well!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:49am Guido from Cologne:
