It harks from a time when anthropology was actually new as a discipline and very closely tied to Surrealist activity

It seems like Surrealism could apply to anything new as another term for sensory overload, which I feel you capture well in your collages.

And that we also must turn the merciless eye of the ethnologist onto our own rituals, and observe them as an explorer would observe a cannibal feast in a goona-goona B-movie

	9:28pm Flash Strap: Something crazy about Celine Dion: I lived in Mexico for two years, and went to about six or seven little circuses. Some Portuguese, some local, some Chinese, some South American. ALL of them had a part of the clown routine that involved the clowns playing "My heart will go on", usually on harmonica, or harmonica-fingered gloves.
