Avatar 7:53am the Canterbury wood-elf:

I recommended Anne-Marie to the Field Mice (via a whimsical letter) when they were looking for a female singer back in 1990 or so. I was amazed when she got the job, and then her stagefright (and relationship with Bob) led to the breakup of the band. Oops...
Avatar 8:16am bibi:

the morons voice is so low in the mix. it is a nowadays band ? they really managed the golden era uk shoegaze sound.
Avatar 8:17am bibi:

argh, maybe it was mope city. im lost. it's all stan's fault ;)
Avatar 8:28am map:

this tom carter sounds a lot like iasos - rainbow canyon
Avatar 8:29am HarktheUmpire:

Is this still Tom Carter, or is it Harold Budd?
Avatar 8:31am HarktheUmpire:

Aha, so it's Iasos. Harold Budd does sound quite similar though, or is it just me?
Avatar 8:31am bibi:

  8:45am Colin from Maplewood:

I went to see School of Seven Bells in NYC a few years ago and got to the show late. I asked a girl if the band had played yet, she said ,"No I don't think so." I found out a few mins later they had already played and the girl was the lead singer.
Avatar 8:45am Dave Bombay:

Nighty night Ausmanx! Thanks for hangin!
Avatar 8:47am Dave Bombay:

@colin - hahaha what are the odds! I booked them for a festival a couple years ago. Really cool cats. Very skinny.
