You're playing the soundtrack for an endless night of website QAing

His name is You Know Who.

I'm listening on the archive, myself.

My favorite bush? Yew.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:03pm

Sorry, I really am a smart aleck.

@Gary, I'm applying XML tags to a book I just edited, so it's angle brackets for all of us.

Smart aleck or time traveler - or possibly both.
Avatar 7:13pm
Jesse K:

I think probably go hand in hand
Avatar 7:15pm
bennett4senate:

Jesse is that halting funk bump track the beginning of your show or the end of Doug's? Feel like I heard the same thing last time but I don't think that's what Galactic Melt sounds like? Sorry for the IT q

Avatar 7:19pm
Jesse K:

Hi bennett! It's a little of both. I have a little intro that takes a bar of Doug's closing song and loops it mixed with waves and other sound effects
Avatar 7:19pm
Jesse K:

then it fades into Galactic Melt, which I talk over
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:20pm

Caesar's giving me second wind on this here coding frenzy!
Avatar 7:23pm

OK thx, I love the effect, but every time it makes me check my internet connection - which is cool - some songs make you dance, but it takes WFMU to make you check your reception
Avatar 7:25pm
Jesse K:

next level audience interaction: is that supposed to sound like that?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:29pm
davex:

Press 1 if it sounds like it's supposed to be that way. Press 2 if not. Press 3 to be sarcastic.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:34pm
Gary:

Yay Sahel Sounds!
Avatar 7:35pm
Jesse K:

Is that supposed to sound like that?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36pm
Gary:

Since it DOES sound like that, the answer would always have to be Yes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36pm
Gary:

cf. Robert Creeley: "Is that a real poem or did you just make that up?"
Avatar 7:37pm
doca:

Hey, guys, what's up?
Avatar 7:39pm
Jesse K:

Hi doca! Hows it going?
Avatar 7:41pm

All fine, @Jesse K, and you?
Avatar 7:43pm

Alls good here, awaiting another small storm tonight!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:47pm
listener james from westwood:

It's said to be utterly shitty on NJ's highways. Parts of 80 don't even look plowed. This shit arrived right around the evening rush hour, but a friend of mine 2 towns away reported going about 1 mph on a treacherous suburban road.
Avatar 7:47pm
doca:

Oh and we're in the midst of (I hope) the last heat wave of the season over here.
Avatar 7:49pm
doca:

@Jesse K: Do you know the work of Ernesto Neto? I was looking at your sculptural work in your site and it reminded me of his stuff.
Avatar 7:50pm
bennett4senate:

Jesse what's the sledding report in JP
Avatar 7:53pm
Jesse K:

@doca, I love him! Got to see a huge installation of his at the armory years ago, it was like a big dinosaur skeleton with gauzy layers of film and bright pigments everywhere
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:54pm
Gary:

I can't believe I missed that Armory show :(
Avatar 7:55pm
Jesse K:

@bennett, it's the only way to get anywhere! There's lots of glacial parks in the neighborhood and some good bowls
Avatar 8:00pm
doca:

@Jesse K: Hahah his work is amazing. Here it says that that exhibition was called "Anthropodino", says a lot about the dinosaur skeleton stuff. Unfortunately I've never seen his work live

Larz Anderson was my spot as a kid, then we also went to another spot near the Arboretum, Corey Hill maybe? good times

A family report from the south shore just a few days ago said the clearing and shearing of the snowbanks is still TERRIBLE...roads are chutes with no visibility of traffic when coming off side streets. Speaking of MA, Brainticket sounds like a Cape neighborhood.
