Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:06am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...was it me - or did 'Locus' sound like a jazzed-up version of the JM in the AM theme - ??
...me, right...

@Jeff: Eeesh, sorry to hear about the job sitch. Hope the narrative isn't as being described here -- no peer betrayal or the like. Sending good luck vibes in your search }}}}}}}}}
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:24am Jeff Golick:

Thanks, glenn & kat. No subterfuge that I'm aware of...
Avatar 9:28am duke:

Job loss sucks. Here's hoping for a better paying job with less work.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:30am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

They say finding werk is harder werk than werk - so we shouldn't let it psych us out. A friend said you learn as much about yourself from the jobs you don't get as the ones you do. I figure that's a rationalization, but a good one. & finally - another friend says he got a magic mantra in these situations: 'It's only a job.'

I'm still working to remember that I'll miss the Magic Hour if I'm not alert.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:33am Doug Schulkind:

I like the Nyabinghi drum groove on this cut.
Avatar 9:33am kat330:

@UM: I still have a post-it note on my laptop about it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:35am Jeff Golick:

Admittedly, it's even earlier for you, Uncle Michael...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:37am Jeff Golick:

@Doug: dropping science.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:38am Uncle Michael:

It's not that it's early, I'm up for two hours by then. It's just that I'm a creature of certain routines and adjusting them is like turning an oil tanker.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:39am Jeff Golick:

Good advices, @Rev. Thanks for the link, too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:46am Uncle Michael:

I figure my proliferating floaters obviates any desire I might have for a fish tank.
Avatar 9:47am kat330:

After my brother pummeled my eye with a rock when I was 5, I've always had floaters. I pay them no mind.
Avatar 9:48am ndbob:

and here for the last few minutes
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:49am Doug Schulkind:

Could Mick Jagger have ripped off Don Covay any more thoroughly? No. No he couldn't.

@doug The first time I heard Don Covay as a kid, I thought it was the Stones.
Avatar 9:51am glenn:

oh boy. floaters. you tell the kids about them and they just stare at you like you're crazy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:52am Doug Schulkind:

Speak, brother.

Avatar 10:00am kat330:

@Jeff: Thanks for today's conscientious hour of magic! And under the header "silver lining playbook," maybe now you'll find a few more minutes free time to listen to my stuff (as discussed in early December here)? At least you read the email! Sometimes I feel like I'm emailing into the wind!
