Avatar 3:14pm steve:

the world 'alternative' is still in use?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:15pm common:

i guess it is, steve. i had no idea.
Avatar 3:21pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

GAAAH! The 128 stream just spontaneously jumped to the GTDrummer stream. Enough of a vibe-clash there to cause one to consider eating one's face. In the manner of a spontaneous freakout.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm Mike East:

this is nice. Hey Kurt
Avatar 3:22pm V Priceless:

hey common - was diggin' your tunes! Are those multi-track recordings or live in-studio? Pretty intriguing, textural vibes...

Time to face the music, Reverend.

  3:32pm Brendan:

Poltergeist hell... this sounds like focused, non-terminal repeating phantasm or a Class Five Full Roaming Vapor
... A real nasty one, too.
Avatar 3:36pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Only because the boss requested it:
All things turnippy.
Avatar 3:38pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Avatar 4:04pm Kurt Gottschalk:

we have a new tool so djs can see which songs they played got the most clicky stars. mini mino's #1 is macka b's "never played a 45."
  4:10pm Cletus:

This is the kind of music gramps and me used to sit on the porch and listen to. Gives me a warm feelin' inside like a steamin' bowl of possum chowder.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:12pm coelacanth:

hi Kurt;minotaurs,centaurs,detours...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:13pm coelacanth:

Avatar 4:37pm kat330:

Hi, Kurt and all! Since people posting links seems to be the momentary rage, I have a new track top of here:
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:38pm northguineahills:

@kat: Kurt begged everyone to post their music links upthread.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:39pm common:

looking forward to the tunes, 37 and kat330!
Avatar 4:40pm kat330:

Ohh, guess I'm really behind today. Been effing with a kaput humidifier and getting a new one under warranty. :/
Avatar 4:42pm steve:

im completely incapable of composing music but have been known to build things that other people play www.facebook.com...
Avatar 4:44pm kat330:

@37: So do you sample sounds, or are you actually playing / singing (for e.g. on "You Best Believe") ?
Avatar 4:44pm kat330:

@steve: Coooool!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:45pm coelacanth:

steve,i already have your sc page bookmarked...for future use. i was going to surprise you!
Avatar 4:47pm 37:

these pieces are from over years using many different techniques... that one was made on a tascam porta II 4 track cassette machine and
on that particular piece that's a sample of david johannson but there are other which are me and yes i am actually playing
Avatar 4:48pm kat330:

Dear Nina.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:49pm common:

will check it out, steve! beersies!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:50pm coelacanth:

i didn't know that was going on here. i'll just bookmark all these pages to listen later.
Avatar 4:50pm kat330:

@37: Yeah, I sampled a few of your tracks and couldn't figure out what was being done for sure. All of my stuff -- starting at the bottom -- is self-recording, performing, arranging and writing/composing in my living room using REAPER software. Limits the results, but a certain number of folks seem to dig it. :)
Avatar 4:50pm 37:

beersies indeed!!!!
Avatar 4:51pm Cecile:

WOW. I did not know the Nina/Exhuma connection. How cool.
Avatar 4:52pm 37:

@kat330 i too listened to a few of your tracks... i like them... i will be going back....

as i'm sure you noticed my stuff is all over the place (on purpose)
Avatar 4:53pm 37:

but i am playing it all...
Avatar 4:53pm 37:

if we can call it playing
Avatar 4:54pm kat330:

@37; I will def check out more thoroughly after the show.
Avatar 4:55pm kat330:

Wow, Nina in a Woody Woodpecker impression there for a moment.
Avatar 4:58pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Just back now -- Hell, 37, you're you! It's been, like, 23 years, since that event with the sound, at the place...
Avatar 4:59pm 37:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:00pm northguineahills:

I have always loved Exuma.
Avatar 5:00pm Cecile:

THIS is an artist that needs a best of treatment and a proper reissue program
Avatar 5:01pm Cecile:

Avatar 5:02pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

24? Jeezus.
Oh, and the curry. before the event. with the sound. at the place.
  5:02pm JakeGould:

Nice GIF! Kurt, you’ve taken care of everything… They words we read… The songs we sing… The pictures that bring pleasure to our eyes…
Avatar 5:03pm 37:

@ Rev. Turnip Druid, check out "and I was so happy".. see if you recognize the voice
Avatar 5:03pm kat330:

Oh, I like this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:05pm coelacanth:

...i've already had a few commenters' sites bookmarked.(ie Rev. TD)- i'm excited to hear more, later this eve.
37 i listened to about 10 sec.;sounds really good!
Avatar 5:06pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

@37: HAR-HAR! wheee!
Avatar 5:06pm Kurt Gottschalk:

JakeG, Minnesota Jeff handles the gifs, but thanks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:07pm coelacanth:

that's one of mine.
Avatar 5:07pm kat330:

@37: I see now you do have some description of your tracks in the production notes. So many never click on a track title even to see those, and SC seems to be trying to discourage or conceal them now, too. I write pretty extensive production notes, so I hope you'll read them whenever you do listen.
Avatar 5:10pm V Priceless:

well..here's a link to my conflicted
R & R! If anyone is nuts enough to want a disc, get in touch for a comp copy!
Avatar 5:10pm 37:

@kat330... i will and thaks to all.... i will be looking at / listening to every one of the urls
Avatar 5:12pm V Priceless:

what 37 said!
Avatar 5:16pm kat330:

Yes, I have my listening cut out for me! Here's just a 33-sec fun piece done without my even knowing it was. Philo found it when doing some general search on my name: youtu.be...
Avatar 5:16pm steve:

such great percussion
  5:18pm poke:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:19pm Carmichael:

Heya Kurt and people with and without sites.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:22pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...afterwerk !...vino tinto-ies...& how...
Avatar 5:32pm kat330:

@Kurt: Do you have a special European keyboard, or do you just copy / paste, or do you use high ascii to get all those accented characters?
Avatar 5:33pm Kurt Gottschalk:

Avatar 5:33pm kat330:

Ah. You must have one of the most intensely accented playlists on the FMU roster.
Avatar 5:34pm TDK60:

Fine tunes here.
Avatar 5:35pm kat330:

@TDK60: Aren't they just? This one's delightful. Very cinematic for the ongoing movie in my head.
Avatar 5:35pm Kurt Gottschalk:

haha! rob w might well beat me.

until a few years ago we couldn't paste into the playlist. i was so excited when they changed that.
Avatar 5:36pm kat330:

That comment was for Irène + Jurg, but Peggy's cinematic as well.
  5:37pm P-90:

Epic show today, always glad when I can catch MM live.
Avatar 5:37pm Cecile:

yay, Cecil.
Avatar 5:37pm Kurt Gottschalk:

thanks for tuning in, p-9 and everyone!

is it ok if i call you p-9 for short?
Avatar 5:38pm Cecile:

c'mon. You can manage a "0" cantcha Kurt?
  5:40pm p-9:

Fine, whatever woks.
Avatar 5:40pm Cecile:

Yeah, Kur. Whatever woks.
Avatar 5:41pm kat330:

Last week he was *add*ing extraneous characters. [as in katt] I guess this is to balance that out.
  5:41pm p-9:

"Works". Damn app.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:42pm northguineahills:

I might be moving to Oklahoma City for a job. Bizarro world has been achieved.
  5:43pm p-9:

Actually, now I'm thinking "Whatever woks" could be a good motto for 2015...
Avatar 5:43pm kat330:

@ngh: Congratulations -- I think?!
Avatar 5:43pm Kurt Gottschalk:

thumps up graphic
Avatar 5:44pm kat330:

Or this high ascii: √
Avatar 5:45pm kat330:

@ngh: Just be prepared for living in Tornado Alley. You like the wind, I hope? :)
Avatar 5:49pm Cecile:

I will have to get you some good Oklahoma jokes from a Texan I know.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:49pm Carmichael:

ngh, I was stationed at Tinker AFB back before I went to Korea. Hope it's better now than it was then. But your dollar will travel farther.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:50pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

I want to live Out West in a repurposed bomb silo & listen to Cecil Taylor.
Avatar 5:51pm Cecile:

ha! A friend of mine went to Cleveland and said something like "oh, the exchange rate is much better there." I have some jerky but funny friends.
Avatar 5:51pm kat330:

@RR: Well, that would settle the tornado threat IAE.
Avatar 5:53pm V Priceless:

thanks for a fine show, Kurt!
Avatar 5:54pm kat330:

And typing of whatever woks, gotta go fix the evening repast for Philo and myself. Thanks Kurt, for these latter-hour sounds I caught!
And thanks, folks, for your sound links!
Have a great weekend, all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57pm Greg from Bloomfield:

Thanks, Kurt!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:58pm Carmichael:

Yeah, thanks Kurt. Now watch out for that firecracker Frangry as she comes busting in!
