Avatar 3:52am Jeff Conklin:

For the sake of myself and the others: What the heck is a "horsefeathers issue"??

Avatar 5:14am the Canterbury wood-elf:

Indeed. I opened the popup about 45 seconds before that song. Tuning in via Radio Gnome Invisible (telepathic style).
Avatar 5:40am Sem Chumbo:

Lurking, listening, and once again, so happy to have heard Fraser and DeBolt. Good morning, Jeff the C, and all.
  5:40am JoeRay:

I guess we're not going to find out what a "horse feathers issue" means. Great show this morning, Jeff.
Avatar 5:42am Jeff Conklin:

Hey, Sem and JoeRay. Thanks for listening. Going to do some research about horsefeathering later today....
Avatar 5:44am Sem Chumbo:

@JoeRay: this might be insight. Meaning:Rubbish, nonsense.
Origin: Horse feathers. This term, which was originally the single word horsefeathers, but is now also widely written as two words, is of American origin and its use is largely restricted to the USA. Those of us from other parts of the world will know the term from the Marx Brothers' 1932 film Horse Feathers, in which Professor Quincy Adams Wagstaff (Groucho Marx) is unwisely appointed as the president of Huxley College.

  5:47am Mark:

I wasn't aware that Gene Parsons made any solo albums.
Avatar 5:48am Jeff Conklin:

@Mark: Two! 'Kindling' is the better of the two, in my opinion
  5:49am JoeRay:

The Marx Brothers was the first thing I thought of when I read Jake's comment. What's the password?
  5:50am fxo:

I'm enjoying your set. just sayin'...
Avatar 5:51am Jeff Conklin:

Thanks for sayin', fxo!
  5:51am Mark:

Thanks for posting that, Sem. So the short version is, it's the PG (or G) version of "horse shit." Got it.
Avatar 5:57am Jeff Conklin:

Thanks, everybody. Have a great week!
