Avatar 7:14pm Rick Heinegeber:

I was trapped in the last shows playlist, had to F5 a couple of times to get out of the jam. Hi Daniel.
Avatar 7:14pm Looms:

I'm on my way to bed but felt like stopping by to say hello (and get a foretaste of the archive).

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:26pm cklequ:

Clay Pigeon on a Sunday night might just be enough to get me to pledge again. After another beer or two i'll try to figure out if i can afford it or not.
Swag For Life Member 7:27pm 12539:

Hey, it's time for the occasional musical number!
Avatar 7:28pm Clay Pigeon:

Indeed, 12539!
Avatar 7:32pm Mayuko:

I remember I loved it when you played Durutti Column's "I Get Along Without You Very Well" around the same time a couple of years ago on your show. Both versions are quite beautiful, and go well with autumn.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm Daniel Blumin:

The song is wunderbar, Mayuko! More versions to come in future!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42pm fleep:

From Das Wiki:
"I Get Along Without You Very Well" is a popular song composed by Hoagy Carmichael in 1939, with lyrics based on a poem written by Jane Brown Thompson. Thompson's identity as the author of the poem was for many years unknown; she died the night before the song was introduced on radio by Dick Powell.

What happened to FMU?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:10pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...Nationwide - Voter Turnout was very Low. Campaign Spending was @ an extreme & record High...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:13pm Daniel Blumin:

Hallo, Mugsy! Yes, cklequ, me too!!! How's that bier count going? YES, dk! Yes!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:13pm Daniel Blumin:

Congrats, Carm! Johne, we still here!
Avatar 8:16pm Offaldrome:

Who else is dancing to this?
  8:18pm P-90:

@RevR63: There was a feeling ahead of the election that "mid-term election apathy" would be particularly strong this time. It was.
@Carmichael: Congratulations on the acquisition. "Punching one's man-card" sounds like SO butch.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:21pm Daniel Blumin:

Rev, low turnout certainly was also disappointing... and this is in a land where we are lucky to get to 60%... Offald, pray go on!
  8:27pm Carmichael:

@p90: temporary stud effect. @Daniel: why doesn't everyone vote? Apathy is such a simple word for laziness. We all should feel lucky we CAN vote.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:28pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

I think no less than our Electoral Process & so our Democracy have been Bought & Sold. The Dow is in record territory, but employment & wages are still wanting. The situations that lead to the Credit Crash have not been addressed - yet Conservatives clamor for more 'Pro-Business' legislation. Republican control will also have devastating effects on Energy policy & the Climate & Environment. It's not good.
  8:31pm JakeGould:

Throw em all in jail!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:32pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- yes - but they've just been Elected the Powers That Be of the Legislative Branch.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:34pm fleep:

I can see the pieces of Galatik Debris going by outside the spacecraft window. That one looks a little like Adlai Stevenson.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:36pm common:

i hear you, fleep. right there
  8:40pm JakeGould:

There goes Spiro Agnew!
  8:52pm JakeGould:

Five in the afternoon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:54pm cklequ:

Every time a bullfighter dies an angel gets its wings.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:55pm Ike:

Almost like a cross between Kelsey Grammer and Mustafio.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:55pm steve:

dammit my internet cut out. im hoping the bullfighter has been or is about to be gruesomely gored?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:55pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...dramatic style - yet a very good reading indeed...
Swag For Life Member 8:58pm 12539:

Muchas merci for all the puzzlement, Daniel.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:00pm Daniel Blumin:

12539, danke schoen! Yes, Steve. The bullfighter did not fare well... G'night, alls! See ya next week mit Rashad Becker and Eli Keszler!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:00pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:
