Heya Faye.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:02pm fleep:

Greetings Faye and Children Of All Ages
  9:02pm Ahmad:

Ahh Felt is a nice way to start my first live listen of the show in over a month.
  9:03pm P-90:

Hello Faye and Hello Children!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:04pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Good to know someone is thinking of the children!
Avatar 9:05pm Siriusly:

Hello, one and all!
  9:06pm P-90:

Don't forget to kick in a few bucks on the Pledge button, regular listeners! It reminds management who's who and what's what...
  9:06pm Aric:

Great opener!
Avatar 9:07pm Faye:

hello everyone! thanks for tuning in!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:13pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Instead of spreading money all over town on foord, drinks & entertainment, hang out & listen to WFMU on Saturday night. Then send the station the money not spent on the other things. Or do both; that also works, right?
  9:13pm Cooh John:

Tuning in to the tremendous tunes. Thanks. Hello siblings.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:15pm Ken From Hyde Park:

What the heck is foord? Some kind of food?
  9:15pm Aric:

Yeah, don't make me compromise my foord.
  9:16pm P-90:

Loves me some spicy foord on a Saturday night
Avatar 9:17pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...shall be listening horizontally in the dark ; make witty & pertinent comments all !...
Avatar 9:19pm listener mark:

The stereo is at fourteen, it is Saturday, I am well on my way to an epic,... wait someone is banging on the front door
  9:20pm Cooh John:

Foord delivery, listener mark?
Avatar 9:21pm listener mark:

Bowling alley, they are complaining about the noise.
  9:21pm Carmichael:

Its only 6:30 ish in California. Bring on the music!
  9:23pm Carmichael:

I think he meant fjord, John.
  9:23pm Gaylord Fields:

I'm currently DJing a wedding, and I just met a fan of yours named DJ Transfat! She loves your show, and I'm going to make her say something to you below. Here she is:

Faye! Your show is the best!!!

Gaylord again: What she said.

  9:30pm Cooh John:

with a dash of Stereosodium glutamate
  9:30pm Carmichael:

I like the way you think, fleep.
  9:32pm P-90:

"DJ Transfat": possible Bond-girl moniker for the 21st century?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:34pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I must drive into town in my Foord Fiesta to pick up some supplies. I need some long hydrocarbon chains for lunch tomorrow. Back in a jiffy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:36pm Tome:

hello Faye ,, hello everyone ,,, nice tunes , love it so far ,, and where it is going too I'm sure like always !
  9:37pm P-90:

Gerald Foord: most underrated President?
  9:42pm Ahmad:

Would be hard to talk for an hour straight without taking the dreaded phone calls, no?
  9:42pm Cooh John:

Great sounds Faye. Sublimating in front of the fire.
  9:43pm Cooh John:

What The Foord!
  9:43pm P-90:

I loved Dan's infamous Bodah-logue
  9:46pm Cooh John:

A Faye-a-logue. Music to my ears.
  9:48pm JakeGould:

Hello humans.
  9:54pm Richard from Venezuela:

Hello. Perfect track for this evening.
  10:01pm JakeGould:

I think Gerald Fooord is better.
  10:04pm Carmichael:

I voted for Gerald Fjord.
Avatar 10:06pm listener mark:

I voted for John B. Anderson for President.
  10:08pm Carmichael:

Several times.
Avatar 10:09pm listener mark:

Sorry, John B. Anderson was in 1980 against Reagan and Carter.
Avatar 10:09pm pgw in mntclr:

Azusa Plane! i got to see him back in the day.
  10:17pm JakeGould:

Gerald Fjord has nothing on Gerald Groin. (Topology Joke)
  10:18pm JakeGould:

Whoa! You were at the NY Art Book Fair, Faye? Where were you? I was there.

"IT'S NOT DOMINO RECORDS JOFF!" (slaps guy in the face)
Avatar 10:23pm Faye:

hello Jake I was there at a friend's table in the dome this year but I had my own table 3 years ago
  10:27pm JakeGould:

Ahhh! I was a bit dizzy in the dome for some reason. Not a joke; was a bit sick that weekend. There was that performance guy doing something with wax branding on apples, right?
  10:27pm Dr. Funkenstein:

what was the track you played around 9:44 I was driving and was digging it and didn't get the name
  10:28pm nichk:

beautiful song. obviously hear "tonight tonight" in there. cool.
  10:29pm Carmichael:

This is mellowing my harsh.
  10:29pm JakeGould:

This guy. instagram.com...
Avatar 10:32pm Faye:

oh my god tonight tonight! geez! true! Dr. Funk I donno off the top of my head could you describe it
  10:34pm Ahmad:

Oh the PS1 dome? One of the weirder settings in which I've seen a show.
  10:36pm JakeGould:

The dome reminds me of the big souvenir teepee at Six Flags Great Adventure.
  10:36pm Carmichael:

Faye, if you haven't before, you should play some Vladimir Horowitz. Show the squares some class.
  10:37pm Ahmad:

The sound in there is surprisingly decent and not boomy and messy like I assumed it'd be.
  10:38pm JakeGould:

Hey dingus! I know who Vladimir Horowitz! My dad liked his performances.
Avatar 10:38pm Cactus Cop:

I thought it was a chair noise at first.
  10:41pm Dr. Funkenstein:

Sorry was cleaning up cat barf, uhh it had a awesome sick organ whirtlitzer Rhodesy sort of thing going on during the chorus, the group sounding british wit vocals
  10:46pm Phillip In Brooklyn:

@faye be careful not to get Keili's cold she was suffering badly all during her radio show
  10:47pm Carmichael:

Faye, will you cry and sing You'll Never Walk Alone at the end of your show, like Jerry Lewis??
  10:48pm Dr. Funkenstein:

Speaking of You'll Never Walk Alone, deliver me from international breaks
  10:48pm Lee:

One of my first shows too! First was Fool's Paradise. Also first met Rex at a bar in Brooklyn, then Ken, Andy, Frangry, and Gaylord at the record fair!
  10:53pm P-90:

Yay! Squirrel Carcass on Monday!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:54pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Back now. I floord it out of the parking lot.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:57pm Fuzzy:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:57pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Maybe I should say I floorded it. Grammar is all over the floord for me tonight.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:57pm Fuzzy:

I can see the fnords!
  10:58pm Carmichael:

My first FMU show was Kenny G, who I thought was some mutant rainman in his moms basement. Then I realized he was part of an organized radio station that encouraged his behavior. And here I am.
Avatar 11:00pm Faye:

oh god Carm that's a weird first show
  11:02pm Carmichael:

Yes, it definitely warped me for the better.
  11:03pm JakeGould:

Whenever someone says that WFMU has weird shows all I want to say is have you ever seriously listened to Jonathan Schwartz on WNYC? That guy is weird in a whole other way.
Avatar 11:03pm Faye:

do people say that?
  11:05pm JakeGould:

That WFMU has weird shows? Yeah. But IMHO Jonathan Schwartz freaks me out a bit.
  11:06pm nichk:

WFMU's shows ARE weird. That's why it's worth listening to. There is seriously not enough weird in the world. There's almost none. Everyone conforms.
  11:07pm Carmichael:

The Manatees! Who played them, Dan Bodah?? Just yesterday, I think. Excellent music ...
  11:07pm Dr. Funkenstein:

I love his program but brian Lehrer is such a melvin
  11:08pm JakeGould:

I have seen Brian Lehrer struggle with a Metrocard. Loses my respect.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:09pm Ken From Hyde Park:

@Carmichael - Diane Kamikaze?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:09pm cklequ:

And all this time i thought i've been pledging to normal radio. If this station starts airing weird shows, you'll lose this listener.
  11:10pm JakeGould:

Dan Bodah is on Monday nights, yo.
  11:10pm Dr. Funkenstein:

Also Thursday you got the dusty show, Friday shut up weirdo and stroll into Saturday with Faye.

Gotta have priorities maaaan
  11:11pm JakeGould:

“Shut Up Weirdo” this week was weak. Frangry & Michelle admitted as much.
  11:12pm JakeGould:

But I likes them.
  11:13pm Carmichael:

Funken dude, Fridays are a ritual. Doug Schulkind, Bryce, Kurt Gottschalk and SUW.
Avatar 11:14pm KP:

Hi, Faye.
  11:18pm Ahmad:

This track title basically sums up almost all of today's indie rock.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:18pm sinister dexter:

Avatar 11:18pm Faye:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:20pm cklequ:

@ Carmichael - For the record..... Kenny G was my first show too. Wednesdays from 12-3. When you step into a pool like that, you know something important is happening.
  11:23pm Ahmad:

Avatar 11:25pm KP:

Faye, you'll never walk alone as long as I'm listening
  11:27pm P-90:

I really don't remember who my "first show" was. I feel like I've been listening to Gaylord, Finewine, Jeff Sarge, and Dave Spazz forever. Dave Mandl's been around long time too I think... And Terre T...
Avatar 11:32pm KP:

First show I really remember was the Hound. That was when i could only listen while driving to work in city. I used to arrive early and sit in car for an hour or so.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:33pm Ĩkє:

Dave Mandl was the first show I listened to regularly, when he was on every Sat. 11 a.m.-1 p.m. before Laura Cantrell. Not sure what the first FMU show I *ever* heard was. Maybe Diane Kamikaze.
  11:35pm P-90:

OK!!! Everyone who's at Monty Hall right now and wants to go up and say "Hi" to Faye, let's meet up at the elevator at 11:40!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:35pm coelacanth:

Hello Faye and children.
Am i late?
  11:37pm HDM:

you really are the best DJ going right now. keep throwing down.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:37pm Ken From Hyde Park:

For me, it was probably around 15 years ago. Going home from work, I was scanning frequencies and caught 90.1 and DK's bed music Zorro was on. I immediately made that one of the presets. I also remember Bronwyn & Kelly's book club show.
Avatar 11:38pm KP:

Laura Cantrell and Meredith Ochs back to back on Saturdays added up to quite a down home treat.
Avatar 11:40pm listener mark:

Thank you Faye. You play the music that incites the savage breast.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:42pm Santos L Halper:

Hello Faye; great stuff tonite, thanks! First show: Finewine. Then Clay and Hearty...et al...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:46pm Tome:

Pat Duncan like in '79 then I rediscovered this station .. online again .. like in 2003 or so ... realizing the effort in getting it back then in Stereo ,, clear ,, but in Mono then sounded just as good too..
  11:47pm JakeGould:

Yonatan Gat sounds good. yonatangat.bandcamp.com
Avatar 11:48pm KP:

Dont know if anyone remembers the Hound. His show was pre-Janet Jackson FCC crackdown. They are described in his archives as "explicit" and that they were and quite hilariously.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:51pm coelacanth:

i remember the hound. It's blurry though!
early 80s?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:52pm cklequ:

this hound?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54pm coelacanth:

i remember clearly the vanilla bean (Frank Balisteri),Jim Price,R Stevie Moore,ol'pal Irwin,Paul Cavinough...
Avatar 11:54pm KP:

Yes. Like mid-80s into early '90s. His airchecks were outrageous.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54pm coelacanth:

  11:56pm P-90:

Thanks, Faye! ...and leave that deadly "gravity knife" at home...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:56pm coelacanth:

Thank you Faye.
