Order and disorder in a freeform haze of terribly-played guitars, shorted-out electronics, found audio detritus, strange sounds from strange lands all around. Psych-punk-junk, collage, even pop. Lots of in-studio live performances to boot.

Avatar 3:18pm Claw!:

I'm digging this Ngozi Family track - the music is rad. Although I'm conflicted about the message. To "favorite" or not? Hmmm...
Avatar 3:18pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

KEITH OF TODAY: didn't i see them at rock against reagan, 1988ish?

  3:34pm richard:

Point That Thing Somewhere Else is a great riff!!!!
Avatar 3:35pm Cheri Pi:

What everyone awesomed.
Avatar 3:36pm Brian Turner:

Heh I had the pleasure of playing that tune on 2nd guitar once with the Clean many years ago at a very drunken wedding. It's always the highwater mark of a show when that comes rolling out.
Avatar 3:37pm Cecile:

My favorite word is awesome. I even did it as a type treatment for a class.
Avatar 3:38pm Cecile:

that is so awesome,Brian.
Avatar 3:38pm Cecile:

Avatar 3:38pm d¢ pät:

This Skadedyr is pretty awesomed too.

Avatar 3:40pm d¢ pät:

I just carbed up with a bunch of nibblers
Avatar 3:42pm Claw!:

This track is puuuurdy
Avatar 3:42pm still b/p:

That sounds like 60-70 year old slang for associating with penny-ante types for petty capers.
  3:44pm bloopy:

the sounds are good
Avatar 3:44pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

carbin' it uptown?

Avatar 3:46pm Cecile:

that finger cymbal player is feeling it.
Avatar 3:46pm still b/p:

You better starch it in the boonies 'til the pantry's clear.
Avatar 3:47pm Claw!:

I'm gobsmacked by all this flowery old-timey slang.
Avatar 3:50pm d¢ pät:

Avatar 3:58pm still b/p:

Message passed along by the professors to Sugarpuss O'Shea in Ball of Fire: "Yes, they said it's getting hot and hotter and to stay in the icebox like a good little salad."
Avatar 4:02pm Cecile:

damn they could bring it live.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:03pm Tome:

of all the bands I've seen in 70's Queen one of the very few that sounded good live ,,
Avatar 4:03pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- admitted (& this before their songs got Poppy in a bad way)
- good recording too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:05pm Davis:

when did queen get bad?
Avatar 4:05pm Cecile:

knowing them, they had the best stage crew, the best lighting, the best sound, the best equipment. And music that was worthy of that attention.
Avatar 4:05pm Cecile:

I think they kind of lost their way after jazz.
Avatar 4:05pm Claw!:

*standing ovation*
Avatar 4:06pm Claw!:

*holds up lighter*
Avatar 4:06pm MenfussMike:

Davis....Hot Space album?
Avatar 4:06pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- Brian May w/ that guitar he built - out of the family fireplace? - like no other on earth...
Avatar 4:06pm Cecile:

I love a lot of Queen songs, but I can only do them 1-2 songs at a time. It's too much like eating frosting out of the can if I do more.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:07pm Hugh:

Shreddin with Freddy!
Avatar 4:07pm MenfussMike:

Brian May never used a guitar pick....he used coins.
Avatar 4:07pm Claw!:

*bangs head dutifully and rhythmically*
Avatar 4:07pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- like Billy Gibbons ?
Avatar 4:07pm still b/p:

Early Queen reminds me of hearing White Queen on 8 track while riding in someone's back seat.
  4:07pm Elias:

Oh good un! Live version of a song I listen to alla time. Well done sir.
Avatar 4:08pm Brian Turner:

Just saw last week Brian May was hangin with Thurston Moore. He might be using drumsticks soon...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:08pm Tome:

a Sixpence ,, Gibbons used quarters
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:08pm Tome:

a Sixpence ,, Gibbons used quarters
Avatar 4:09pm Cecile:

Thurston would always talk about Queen II in interviews in the 80s.
  4:11pm richard:

Just saw last week Brian May was hangin with Thurston Moore. He might be using drumsticks soon...

nice one!!
Avatar 4:11pm MenfussMike:

I was in the Embassy Suites Nasville by Vanderbilt. I was checking in and Billy Gibbons was getting on the elevator with two ladies. When the elevator doors opened, he motioned to the ladies to enter the elevator first with that smooth two finger swing he did in the Eliminator-era videos. I shit you not.
Avatar 4:12pm Cecile:

Are you playijng air drums with this Brian?
Avatar 4:13pm Cecile:

Avatar 4:13pm MenfussMike:

Avatar 4:13pm Cecile:

Avatar 4:16pm Aurélie E:

  4:16pm richard:

i don't know melvins much. seen them live couple years @ primavera festival with two drummers. great intense set.
Avatar 4:17pm MenfussMike:

  4:18pm richard:

Avatar 4:18pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Brian May 'Red Special' (guitar) wigkey :
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:19pm Davis:

las palabre de amor? under pressure?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20pm Davis:

brian may uses a sixpence coin from pre decimal english money
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20pm Davis:

i think, or is it a shilling?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:21pm Davis:

palabras that is
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:22pm Stanley:

A sixpence was called a 'tanner' and a shilling was a 'bob'.

Avatar 10:53am Cecile:

Wonderful tribute. But Gutteridge sounded so frail in that interview. Maybe we were lucky he managed to hold on for another decade or so.
