Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11pm Greg from Bloomfield:

Mickey Rooney was on The Twilight Zone AND The Simpsons, so he's pretty much a god.
  6:13pm P-90:

Mick was great in "The Twilight Zone", he was a very well-trained and proficient actor.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:16pm Matt from Springfield:

@Carm: Yes! Especially on SCTV.
  6:16pm P-90:

NO! "The Day the Clown Cried" was Jerry Lewis' "Heaven's Gate."
"Son of Paleface" is another good Tashlin comedy.
  6:17pm Gee Lampa:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:27pm Matt from Springfield:

Hi common!

So, IS there anything good about Eyes Wide Shut from your perspective? What I've heard is that it's a mess put together by others after Kubrick's death and there's really no story left by the end of it--are the rumors true?
Avatar 6:27pm dale:

Hey matt: i saw it when it came out. a very strange time in my life. went by myself to a theater i'd never been to. some of it felt very much like a kubrik flick to me, other parts not so much. for some reason, i was in the right mindset. haven't seen it since. lemme know what you think if you see it. i found it creepy.

Thanks common. Interesting that a "right mindset" helps in interpreting the film. I believe it *was* supposed to be creepy though, so that's some success!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:30pm Carmichael:

@Dale: as an impressionable kid, I used to keep an eye out for Stella Stevens and Inger Stevens. Hoo-boy!!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:53pm common:

  6:53pm Terry:

Wish I could call. Dave the Spazz is one of my music heroes (heros?, HeeRoes?) partly because I am sure he wouldn't care one bit about spelling. It's all in the feeling of the moment. 10 or 12 years ago I was driving home from a late meeting in Poughkeepsie and was cruising the airways left of the dial. I got a faint bit of his show fading in and out but most importantly heard the call letters and the internet address. I've been a streaming fan ever since. Love Clay's show too, especially the Man in the Street stuff - no one does it like you guys!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:53pm Matt from Springfield:
