I haven't heard this Meat Puppets tune in a long time, it sounds friggin great!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:04pm Stevel:

Listening in the garage, I thought BK closed with Flipper. Good to hear you!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:06pm Michele:

  5:09pm JakeGould:

So I heard the “Delta 5” and wondered who the fill in was. Awesome stuff!
  5:09pm Michael:

Avatar 5:09pm t_J:

  5:11pm Mike Van Laar:

Hi Jason. Great to hear you back on the air and on a weekend to boot. Loving it so far.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:15pm Jason:

Avatar 5:16pm TDK60:

Arthur Russell has come back to us, from the future, it seems.
Avatar 5:18pm t_J:

im liking this vaporized bass pop lament
Avatar 5:26pm Finbar:

Thanks for filling in Jason. It's sounding really good, over here in Boulder, Colorado.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:27pm Ken From Hyde Park:

It's really nice out, but I must sit here typing on laptop for work reasons. The Talk's Cheap music makes it pleasant.
Avatar 5:28pm Finbar:

A beautiful day here in Boulder too, not a cloud in the sky.
Avatar 5:30pm Thomas:

very nice
Avatar 5:31pm TDK60:

Ah, some UK psych pop on a Sunny Day.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:33pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

The sunlight of his days
Was spent in the gray of his mind
As he stole love with a tongue of lies
The world is shrinking in size
Avatar 5:34pm Finbar:

You would think this definitely Roy Orbison, but hey....this is great!!
  5:35pm r i s k y:

Feeling the love, Jason!
Good to hear you today
Avatar 5:40pm TDK60:

Funny how that sorta Western rock existed in the UK back then. (John Leyton)
Avatar 5:45pm t_J:

Hey Rev rabb guess who falled also for the isley brothers first time listened ... ahhahah
Avatar 5:46pm t_J:

punks never grow up
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:47pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...Isley's one of Hendrix's kewlest (?) early employers (of course) t_J...
Avatar 5:49pm t_J:

i met hendrix with my butt on the grass dude .. ;)
Avatar 5:56pm TDK60:

Read somewhere Isleys were playin' Jamaica. During a break, Jimi stole onto stage alone and tore it up. They thought he was nuts. Then, by the 70s, they were using his licks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:58pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Black to the Future.
Avatar 5:58pm Honey Water:

Listening and enjoying the sounds for a while! Now inside enjoying grilled corn-on-the-cob,zucchini,etc.
Avatar 6:00pm t_J:

i didn't know of his connection with them .. although i thought danko jones was related to him somehow but it was all webby nodes
Avatar 6:02pm t_J:

it means "either i want it or not", Jason
Avatar 6:03pm t_J:

the i part is assumed, its more: "either wanting or not"
Avatar 6:03pm t_J:

not assumed*
Avatar 6:04pm Honey Water:

Any Womack tributes? "Across 110th St." for example?
  6:07pm gern blanston:

Really digging the show, esp. that last set! Thanks Mr. Sigal!
Avatar 6:11pm TDK60:

WKCR has a good soul/funk show: 'Across 110th St.'
Avatar 6:14pm Honey Water:

@ TDK60: Yeah, I understand the station was doing an all-day Horace Silver tribute as well last week. Our only NYC tuning is WFMU stream.

First thought Ibibio SM was bringin' in da funk, but actually guess it trended more toward disco. Hope someone remembers Womack this coming week.
Avatar 6:30pm Honey Water:

Suppose it's lese majesty to suggest less del Rey and more Womack.
Avatar 6:31pm t_J:

now, here she comes lana. here she comes now ...
now here she comes lana. here she comes now
Avatar 6:32pm t_J:

i agree HW~
Avatar 6:33pm Honey Water:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:40pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...man does Bernie Maupin sound like Trane on this! (en.wikipedia.org...) ; but that's like saying Rock Guitarists sound like Hendrix, of course...
Avatar 6:43pm t_J:

i don't see Pop so immense like i see Jazz and Classical Music in its own voidism capable of surrendering the entire airplay of a station .. altough i would like to find an all world music station
Avatar 6:46pm t_J:

i didn't heard the song sorry was referring general lana
Avatar 6:50pm Honey Water:

Cool sounds, gotta go. Sweet dreams!
Avatar 6:51pm Chris M.:

what up j-dogg! i know i promised i wouldn't call you that in public anymore but i doubt anyone will notice!
Avatar 6:52pm t_J:

FMU should reflect society's Goods and focus on its expansion .. if lana is going that path, we have to find out along.. heh bye 4 now
