How do, Jesse and all! Sorry to hear about the crispy-ness!
Avatar 7:10pm
Jesse K:

hey Holly and James!
+1 for enthusiasm on the bumblebee cover. Plus my trip was full of insects
  7:13pm
Holly in NC:

Jesse - so sorry! Baking soda bath? OTC aloe + numbing stuff? Stay hydrated!
Avatar 7:14pm
Jesse K:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:15pm

Yay 3 hours!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:25pm
davex:

You're right, the word is heute but people often shorten it to heut' in spoken language, as in the title.
Avatar 7:27pm
Jesse K:

ahh, but I see I left off the ' on hab so better to double check after all
Avatar 7:35pm
Jesse K:

this song is for Doug's set actually, a little bookkeeping
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:38pm
Gary:

Yay James Chance!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:46pm
Gary:

This woman was so great
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:49pm
listener james from westwood:

BTW, Jesse, Daily Beast has an article up about Providence's very own Buddy Cianci.
Avatar 7:51pm
Jesse K:

do they talk about his pasta sauce? I feel like that was a constant thing that any article had to mention for a while
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:53pm
listener james from westwood:

This article ticks that particular box.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:53pm
Gary:

I wouldn't have guessed this awesomeness was Hungarian
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:54pm
davex:

Márta Sebestyén is amazing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:55pm
Gary:

I had never heard of her before this -- really, really wonderful, yeah
Avatar 7:57pm
Jesse K:

she's the singer for Muzsikás but recorded a couple of solo records I think. This is the only one I have...from the earlyish 80's
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:02pm

Avatar 8:16pm
Jesse K:

Gary, do you have any discographical details on this track? I can't find any except it's sitting in a folder on my harddrive called "Asian Rock & Hip Hop"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:23pm
Gary:

Ack, I had stepped away and missed the track -- we're cooking
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:27pm
listener james from westwood:

This cut, I have not heard in AGES.
Avatar 8:30pm
Jesse K:

Rhythm Box? I was talking about this just yesterday, it made an appearance in the movie Liquid Sky, played live in a club
Avatar 8:32pm
Jesse K:

@Gary, no problem. You would have just heard me ripping you off shamelessly
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:34pm
listener james from westwood:

Yep, the Slava cut. Somehow I've not yet seen Liquid Sky, an omission I should remedy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:35pm
Gary:

My GF is now dragging me over to see World War Z (while we eat, no less) ... have a great night, everyone!
Avatar 8:36pm
Jesse K:

I just watched World War Z over the weekend. I enjoyed it a lot!
Avatar 8:39pm
Jesse K:

Liquid Sky was interesting: it was an amazing document of the club culture of the time, I would guess that most people in the movie weren't actors. Too many rape scenes, I can't condone that.
Avatar 8:45pm
northguineahills:

I jumped in after Gary left. Still have the numbers here.
Avatar 8:51pm
Jesse K:

Welcome NGH, thanks for picking up the slack!
Avatar 8:54pm
northguineahills:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:56pm
Gary:

Holy crap, it's already terrifying. I'm going to listen to the morlum song once your archives are up, Jesse, and let you know if I have any other info -- but I often don't have, esp. of Thai & other scripts I can't read
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:57pm
listener james from westwood:

Yergh, def not my bag w/r/t Liquid Sky. But this Clouds track def. is. Incredible stuff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:57pm
Gary:

PS: Sad I missed the Boredoms -- I love that album! Okay, I have to go back and watch a bunch more bad things happen with the GF ...
Avatar 9:00pm
Jesse K:

It's one of the few zombie apocalypse movies where the hero doesn't shoot everything and works for the UN
Avatar 9:00pm
Jesse K:

I need a longer show
Avatar 9:04pm

We wouldn't unhappy w/ a longer show.
