that and I contacted WFMU to get my "Heart" for live playlists (I donated during the pledge drive, just hadn't set up an account; yay for the Chart Sweep CD!)

Love the radio interference sound! Took me a minute to realize I can't turn the tuning knob on my MBP.

This is kinda like those Sublime Frequency 'Radio..' series, only in America. I wonder if hipsters would collect these in Syria, Thailand.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:30pm

There's one thing you can say about train wifi... you can really pass a 2 hour trip quickly if you're really focused on trying to get it to work.

As a brit it's weird to hear you guys talk about the shipping forecast as something strange. That brings me straight back to my childhood on the south coast.

MrFab:

Sadly things haven't changed much since Cage and Feldman had this conversation. I like that idea, of having ambient music in public instead of blaring pop. But like Cage using these bad experiences to create his radio music, I took a horrible Pussycat Dolls song I was subjected to while trying to eat my pizza by making a mashup with it. I got my revenge!
Avatar 7:34pm

yes, mashups made me like a lot of things I'd not have liked otherwise

the collective knowledge at WFMU is amazing - this playlist I'm doing has an autopredict for what song entry you are about to do - and no matter how original I think I am I always find it predicting what I'm going to play, ie someone has played it before on the station
