  3:47pm Deer John:

The tracktor can't fix anythin!
  3:50pm Marie:

i really like Madge's "You Must be my Lucky Star" or somehting....I bet it could be messed up real good on a turntable...
Avatar 3:52pm ironybread:

Scott - this is very important! What is the record that you're using for instrumental backing right now during your DJ break?
  3:53pm paula pc:

I have no profile = I have no heart...so those of us who are a little shy are heartless!
  3:54pm paula pc:

but WFMU knows where our hearts lie!!

HEY, that Tunnels/Unsound comp is a kick. Didn't know about Robert Piotrowicz 'till I heard that opening track. It's a head-twister...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:07pm Scott Williams:

Paula, hate to say it but this one feels a bit half-cooked, tho there are a few standout tracks
  4:09pm paula pc:

sorry to hear it re: this Chrome -- it does have that Natalie Cole singing with her dad feel, but hey, it's Helios! I liked that track you just played
  4:10pm Cyborg:

Listen to "Clairaudient Syndrome" then push play!
  4:11pm paula pc:

this sounds like something Richie Hawtin woulda made -- SJ is so righteous...ok, I be quiet now, frothing at the mouth over this terrific program
  4:12pm Marie:

Hey Scott is music by Frankie Knuckles anything you woudl consider playing? I don't know it at all.
  4:14pm paula pc:

@ Marie -- listen to this: http://www.wfmu.org/playlists/shows/55086
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:14pm Scott Williams:

@Marie, DJ Duane did an amazing F Knuckles tribute a couple weeks ago, check it out: www.wfmu.org...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:16pm DCE:

hey CP, the vegan sausages came out great!
Avatar 4:17pm Cheri Pi:

I'm so glad to heat dat DCE! I just bought some "wild game" seasoning this weekend and some more vital wheat gluten, how did you season yours?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:18pm Mike East:

@DCE - you might know the answer to this....do you have an opinion on how far past expiration can you "safely" eat tempeh?
  4:18pm paula pc:

jinx, Scott -- was that Duane installment great or WHAT. back to my hole
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20pm DCE:

@ CP, I really stuck with the basic recipe since I was a vegansausagevirgin...next time I will get more creative...@ Mike East--well, I dunno, it's fermented anyway! I actually bought some tempeh and left it unrefrigerated overnight this weekend, so I'm interested to see how that goes...
  4:21pm Stench Brothers:

Chrome is IT!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:22pm DCE:

even my ultracarnivore 13 year old dug the sausage sandwich with sauce'n'parmesan
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23pm common:

hey dce, my vegan sausage was also marvelous this weekend. That's good eatin'!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23pm Mike East:

@DCE - that's what I was thinking (re: fermented anyway). I'll let you know if I get violently ill...unless I'm too sick to comment.
  4:24pm paula pc:

sad that had to end -- but what a great segue. Sheesh, this show is on a different plane today!!! WOOHOO!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:25pm Scott Williams:

awww gee Paula! danke.
Avatar 4:28pm Sem Chumbo:

This beats the hell out of Sha-boom, sha-boom.
  4:34pm Marie:

Hey Paula and Scott, Thanks!
  4:37pm Marie:

Hey, I had some hemp milk foamed up in a cappuccino and it was excellent. A great replacment for dairy, which, unfortunately, I cannot have, and which I will NOT go into. No, I won't....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:37pm Ike:

Good show!

Ha, the way Scott said "we gotta lotta nice DJs here, yah" almost sounded like he wants to put them out on a blanket and hawk them in a yard sale or at the Meadowlands Flea Market.
Avatar 4:38pm Cheri Pi:

all this talk about meat and dairy analogues is making me hungry...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:38pm Scott Williams:

Ike, I was just exorcising some residual ZZ Top from the brain
  4:39pm Marie:

@ Cheri--for what?
Avatar 4:41pm Cheri Pi:

A nice vegan sausage slathered in good mustard with saurkraut would hit the spot....
  4:41pm Marie:

I'm in Chicago and it is cold and wet and gloomy. I'm glad I don't have a job to go to today.
Avatar 4:41pm Cheri Pi:

alas, these sunflower seeds will have to do.
  4:42pm Marie:

@Cheri--that sausuage sounds great. I just had some sauerkraut-mushroom peirogi. Yum.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:43pm SeanG:

Ah, Chicago--that somber city
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:43pm Ike:

Ah! No wonder that turn of phrase sounded kinda enjoyably sleazy, then.
  4:44pm Marie:

Hey SeanG, somber--that actually lends it a romantic edge. Hmm. Thanks.
  4:44pm Tres Hombres:

Exorcise more Recommend Records & Ralph Records Artists. please!
  4:45pm Marie:

Viva la Ralph!!!
  4:46pm marmalade kitty:

appreciating this trippy set!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:47pm SeanG:

More bang for your buck in Chicago than in any other big city
  4:48pm Marie:

I can imagine this blaring out of a 90's buick, flying down the street.
  4:49pm Marie:

Hey SeanG, how do you mean?
Avatar 4:49pm Chris M.:

lots of great sounds today Scott
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:50pm Scott Williams:

thanks Chris! 'pershiate it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:51pm Mike East:

strange - I was just looking at a "Ben Franklin" CD this morning...a now defunct band of a old friend of mine.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:51pm SeanG:

cheaper rent, better nitelife, music scene than other big cities. I'm in Boston and the rent is insane.
Avatar 4:52pm ironybread:

Thank you Scott. I was actually trying to identify this classical composition, as covered by Ludwig & the Klassics (a one-off group of studio instrumentalists doing groovy 1966-era covers of classical themes). It’s some ancient well-known melody that’s on the tip of my tongue: www.RelayIt.net...
Avatar 4:53pm ironybread:

Oh dear, it seems I have no heart. Maybe after the Fall pledge drive.
  4:53pm paula pc:

Avatar 4:55pm Chris from DC:

What Paula said. With extra clicky star.
  4:55pm 3 friends:

Thanks for the A. Bishop & Pere Ubu @ of my american favs!
Avatar 4:55pm Cheri Pi:

What Chris said. With emphasis!
  4:56pm Marie:

Hey Sean, yeah it really does have all that and it is very international too, It's easy for me to not appreciate since I grew up just outside of it. But a long trip to asia recently made me appreciate Chicago and America, overall, more. I love Boston too. Keep on keepin on man, be careful during the marathon.
Avatar 5:00pm rangerjimhaku:

Damn that Rocket from the Tombs song is totally the Aneurysm riff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:02pm Stevel:

Think that's the first time I actually heard RFTT. Neat.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:03pm SeanG:

Thanks Marie. I spent 2007 in Chicago, in Lincoln Square, a little west of Western. Good times, especially in the summer.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:11pm Bas NL:

I'm LATE.. Hi Scott! Hi all!
Avatar 5:13pm doca:

Hi, Scott, checking in late today! You're saying things correctly, don't worry, especially the second time you said "Até"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:17pm Scott Williams:

Haha, thanks Doca!~
5:29pm Pink poodle in the park:

This number reminds me of smallish teal bikes
Avatar 5:30pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

I have a smallish teal bike.
And I'm not afraid to use it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:31pm Scott Williams:

Hiya Poodles!!
Avatar 5:34pm Mr. Lowry:

I have a heart. I just keep it in my other suit.
  5:38pm marmalade kitty:

what is a teal bike?
  5:46pm Matt W:

This is fantastic. My insides are vibrating.
Avatar 5:49pm doca:

This is nice...
Avatar 5:51pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

seriously yummy sounds, captain.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:58pm Mike East:

later groovy people
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:03pm Ike:

Excellently extra-dimensional show, Scott. Other planes and/or planets fully reached.
