Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

Artist Track Album Label Year Format Comments Approx. start time
As the week began and I was preparing to start another Dusty Show, I became increasingly ill with some kind of flu or cold or something. In a last ditch attempt, I went out to do interviews on Wednesday, but I was immediately gripped with the chills and went back inside. Plan B ... A re-run. I had hoped to air a show from November of 2011 - the eviction of Occupy Wall Street from Zuccotti Park, but for one reason or another, it was not possible to bring up the file at the station to air it ... so ... Plan C ... an improv, (beings as I felt too badly to go live w/Fabio, and he was busy anyway ... ...... Sitting in a chair by my desk in the Pigeon Coop, slumped and ill, I began reciting some wild fever drea,, one line at a time until I had maybe 50-minutes of tape. Then I had to go in and try and edit out all the tape clicking of turning the micro-cassette on and off between every line. I ended up with, Nurse Hadley. It's admittedly creepy and questionable, but ... here it is. 59 comments! My lowest since last July 4th. Kind of proud in some weird way. OK ....... here we go.

If I didn't know Clay for the mensch he is, listening to this I'd conclude he was among the scariest people alive.
Avatar 6:16pm Clay Pigeon:

I am sick, so I recorded this last night, one line at a time, making it up as I went, and then went back and edited out the tape clicks. It's called "Nurse Hadley." Not the best thing ever, but nevertheless, here it is.
  6:17pm Baumer:

This is amazing.
  6:18pm Greg:

Avatar 6:24pm david_:

Only Clay could get away with using "fanny" twice in a story.
Avatar 6:25pm Whooda:

So very sorry to hear your're under the weather DJ Clay. Praying for you.
  6:26pm tom:

"fanny" in a british accent means something else.

Avatar 6:32pm david_:

Man, I hope this is only a letter to Ms. Hadley that remains unsent!
Avatar 6:34pm glenn:

it's a verb that can also be used as a noun by adding ing, if memory serves.
  6:34pm Nellie:

I often crave finches skewered...I thought I was the only one :)
Avatar 6:39pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

I usually wake up from a total blackout, adrift in a sea of penguin bones.
Avatar 6:40pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

When visiting the coast of Maine, puffins get the same treatment. They've learned to fear and avoid me, the wee bastards.
  6:41pm marmalade kitty:

He feels better having a dig at nurse Hadley, gives him energy!
Avatar 6:41pm glenn:
