  4:42pm P-90:

@Whooda: Soooooo... I'm just curious if you've had any personal experience with those medications :)
Avatar 4:49pm Whooda:

I've had indirect experience with those drugs from both inside and outside of health facilities. When I volunteered myself to the psyche ward in 2011 the nurse offered me Seroquel and I refused. The other patients were saying, 'Take it man!" or "Can I have it if you don't want it?" But, of course, I thought it was some nefarious trick by the hospital to trap me in there forever. Haha. The next day, after I learned what it was I asked the nurse if I could have it and she said, "No". :(
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:50pm Mike East:

ha! Just saw the Personal Repair/Disrepair kits available as marathon swag this year. You guys are brilliant.

Teeth of the Sea! Discovered this on Martha's show the other night. Me like. Maybe like a lot. OK Matt, do any "sorry, Charlie!" joke you want ...
Avatar 4:59pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Very digging.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:02pm Mike East:

I saw a sign for a store on the highway that just sells "E-Cigs and E-Liqs" - do they sell electronic liquor now? I think I missed that blog post.
  5:03pm P-90:

@whoo: not unusual, lots of patients try that class of drugs (Risperdal, etc.) and find the sedating effects overwhelming. Best to avoid them anyway, they 're very harsh lil pills
Avatar 5:06pm Whooda:

No kidding. I need NO help sleeping. I've been averaging 18 hours of sleep per day EVERYDAY (without sedative drugs) for the past several months. Not depressed exactly, just sleepy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:06pm steve:

Mike the thought of electronic liquor is so intriguing i just had to look it up - sadly it just some flavoring for e-cigs. if anyone does have a reasonable idea for "electronic liquor" please share... we'll make millions!
Avatar 5:07pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

was merely digging.
now mega-digging.
get me?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:07pm Matt from Springfield:

E-Liq--alcohol inhalers!! Complete with flavor inserts!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:09pm Matt from Springfield:

@Whooda: Hmm, is that the result of another med? Alcohol interacting with another med? Are you on any vitamin supplements (or do you think you should be)?
Avatar 5:09pm Whooda:

@Matt does that mean that AA would then have to change their name to EAA?
  5:11pm P-90:

@Whooski: 18 hrs.? But you're listening and commenting for about 16 hrs/day, 18 + 16 = about 34, how do Whooda squeeze all that into a 24 day!?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:11pm steve:

alcohol inhalers, genius - i can't be the only one who gets a contact high just from smelling booze
Avatar 5:11pm Whooda:

No, not drinking or smoking just sleepy. Yes on the vitamins and yes on health service support. Just sleepy, as form of meditation I suppose.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:15pm Matt from Springfield:

@Whooda: Well, meditation is very good for the mind and spirit. If being in a "blank" meditative state is doing well for you, I would say, keep it up. Now if you don't want to be in that state for most of the day, or feel it's taking over your life, obviously see a doctor and ask what you can do to change that.
Avatar 5:15pm Whooda:

@P-90 this comment board, while cooking, is about the totality of my activity at the present time. I can sleep for 20 hours, get up have a cup of coffeee, a shower, a meal and go right back to sleep for many hours more, only getting up to pee. Don't ask me how or why. I don't get the 18 hours in one solid block of time. The past two weeks have been averaging closer to 12-15 hours / day sleep.
  5:15pm P-90:

@ Steve, Matt, etc. I 'm gonna think long and hard on this E-liquor thing. There's gotta be a way...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:17pm Matt from Springfield:

"Hello, EAA. I'm Matt, and I had my last drink...right now. I follow the vapor everywhere..."
Avatar 5:18pm Whooda:

@Matt in 1990 I reached a state of Nirvana through transcendental meditation, about 20 minutes per day practice. That is the period I quit smoking cigarettes too and had my critical success as an artist. Very positive thing to do. This sleeping isn't proper meditation but is beneficial.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:18pm Carmichael:

I'm spending all my spare brain power on how to one-up that Dumb Starbuck's idea.

Stupid Coca Cola?
  5:19pm P-90:

@ Whooddo: Have you had thyroid and free testosterone levels checked? History of diagnosed hypo/hyperglycemia? Thought about Lyme disease, you're in a good part of the country for that?
Avatar 5:20pm Whooda:

Starbucks article in LA Times www.latimes.com...
Avatar 5:23pm Whooda:

Lyme disease is a great diagnosis and I lived on an island that had an epidemic of Lyme disease, my landlord there had Lyme disease. My problem is anxiety and depression. the excessive sleeping isn't acute depression.
  5:24pm P-90:

Moronic McDonald's?
@ Matt: remember meditative staes are not "blank" states. EEG studies of meditation always show hightened attention and focus, not the other way. Just sayin
Crappy Coca Cola?
Avatar 5:25pm Whooda:

Wonderfully unusual music DJ Scott Williams
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:26pm Matt from Springfield:

<VoCoDeD oUt>...

@P-90: Having not achieved such a state, I may have a wrong assumption about what it entails. Thanks :)
  5:27pm P-90:

@DJ Scott: yep, excellent music today, not unnoticed amid the chatter
Avatar 5:29pm Whooda:

By definition, to remain in a state of enlightenment one leaves the 'normal' state and that appears as insanity in a 'normal' environment. It's a contemporary paradox.
  5:30pm P-90:

@ matt: I know you like that backwards audio app, have you played with any of the Vocoder sims?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:32pm steve:

i gotta say, as a non sports fan, i can't believe how much i enjoy Sportsy Talk
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:36pm Scott Williams:

@steve, it doesn't matter what they talk about, Bronwyn & Jim just do great radio!
Avatar 5:38pm Serpico:

whooo made it!
  5:39pm P-90:

@ Whooda: you know that's why Bodhisattvas forsake the final stage of enlightenment and return to the "marketplace" of day-to-day life, so they can stay in touch with other folks and help if they can
Sounds like you were in a very high risk environment for Lyme's, w/high density of cases all around. Plus, if you feel strongly that the sleepiness is not a product of depression, you might have Lyme's, it's a difficult diagnosis that slips by multiple tests in some cases.

How 'bout that Russian Police Choir, huh? Helluva thing...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:40pm Matt from Springfield:

@P-90: No, I haven't tried any vocoder sounds yet, what do you rec playing around with?

@Scott/steve: That's the truth!
The beauty too is that it's "sport-sy" talk, so those less into sports can still get a good rise out of it :)
Avatar 5:41pm Serpico:

hmm some esoterics about meditation being talked about in the comments section. interesting.

@Matt: don't know, haven't looked into it, I know there are one or two ProTools plug-ins that are supposed to work great, I don't know if you use PT or similar? You could invent some kind of Vocoder Karaoke or "VoKaraoke" and have contests at those upcoming FOT-Cons
Avatar 5:46pm Whooda:

haha, You just said, "VoKaroake"!
  5:47pm P-90:
