Avatar 2:52pm
kat330:

Really? Gee. I started on just about the first day. Waited with all the overload, got a supposed account, but then it has never let me successfully login since. A 90-min. phone call to fill out the Fed app (IN has no program of its own) ended w/ the rep saying she was booted off at the last min. and couldn't confirm whether the app had made it through or not. Can't check, because STILL not allowed a successful login.

@kat330, i'll have to cross my fingers when i try logging in again! managed to set up the account by waiting until what seemed like the initial rush wore off, but now i wonder if it's more than just volume.
Avatar 3:02pm
Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Thanks to all your realnesses and kindnesses. And thanks again for your pledges to WFMU's October drive to build a place for noisemaking.
Avatar 3:06pm
kat330:

@James: Oh, yes, it's definitely beyond sheer volume as an issue. But I have wondered if TeaBag states like Indiana, w/ a Guvnur who rejected Fed Medicaid funds and leaving us to fend for ourselves, are the ones with the most issues. I had a thought that perhaps the Koch Bros. bribed CGI to make sure the program was effed up.
Avatar 3:06pm
Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

I will maybe read/watch the news in another life. No time or need in this one.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:09pm
listener james from westwood:

from what i've heard, state-run registries are working much more smoothly. sadly, i think it's washington-insider contractor screwery thus far more than outside influences (tho' i wondered if maybe the anti-ACA folks were overwhelming the servers during that 1st week; would not put it past the party that once had a group like creep and the plumbers under its aegis).

Beware friends.
Beware.

I am now more intangled with @@@le.

It's all one, or soon will be.
One trap, that is.
Avatar 3:09pm
kat330:

There was a significantly long period in which I did the same -- watched / heard no news as I was already way too blue -- but I came out the other side of that. I still don't watch very much, but Colbert & Stewart are must-sees for me.
Avatar 3:10pm
Bliss:

Who gives news, instead of "news"?
Avatar 3:11pm
kat330:

@Bliss: tying your g--gle entanglement with the ACA computer debacle, there was a finely funny piece by John Oliver on The Daily Show, where he's sucked into the glitch-y program a la Tron. It's ha-larious.
Avatar 3:14pm
kat330:

@James: But if you think about it, a million-dollar bribe is pocket change for the Kochs, and it would be so easy to screw up code for that sort of money. CGI's a Canadian company IIRC, so it would seem they'd have their sh*t together.
Avatar 3:16pm

Are the listeners who are not one your list before on your list now? HOLY SHIT! You *DID* mention my name on your list at 1:18, even though I am timeshifting by nearly a week. You amaze me, sir.

Regarding your "More and more, and with each step, I feel more is missing" comment about the website, remember the first fallacy of computing: There is no deficiency in software which can't be remedied with more software. Wrong! Less is more.
Avatar 7:45pm

@Droll: Oh gosh, "more software" is definitely the opposite of what I meant. The more technology is added to our lives, the more anything real is missing.
