Options Brian Turner: Playlist from August 6, 2013 Options

Order and disorder in a freeform haze of terribly-played guitars, shorted-out electronics, found audio detritus, strange sounds from strange lands all around. Psych-punk-junk, collage, even pop. Lots of in-studio live performances to boot.

Avatar 3:50pm Cheri Pi:

BT you should track down Wendy Broccoli and party with her.
Avatar 3:52pm Lopez:

Tim; I did see it; had a friend who was kind enough to snag the ultra-limited vinyl EP for me that acted as the ticket. Tiny venue, great sound, and people behaved because the show was so tight and space so tiny
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:53pm Todd76Pct:

RIP George Duke and Tim Wright of DNA & Pere Ubu...sad day.
Avatar 3:56pm Cheri Pi:

trying to wrap my mind around how amazing those upcoming shows are going to be.
Avatar 3:59pm Brian Turner:

Not everybody behaved Lopez
Avatar 4:01pm Brian Turner:

We had to keep a certain friend of ours from being run over in the street and then beaten by Katz's bouncers

Avatar 4:19pm Cecile:

I think I bought that Birds Nest Roys 45 in Mpls for $1 back in the day. And the LP was marked down at Schoolkids, and I think I spent $6 for it.

Avatar 4:20pm Cecile:

The NZ stuff has really climbed in value of late. But none of mine is for sale. Even with siding.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:21pm tim from champaign:

This Earth Dies Burning stuff is really cool! A bunch of nerd weirdo teens in the early 80s.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:22pm DCE:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:25pm DCE:

Avatar 4:26pm Cecile:

It's a nice calming green. We got gutter covers and soffits too. It wasn't cheap, but we got some breaks because, well, we are going to be a before and an after picture for the contractor. DCE, if you can find an established contractor in new territory - that's how we lucked out. He had the good rep already, but wanted new clients so he was ready to deal.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:27pm DCE:

I bet it makes the abode much more appealing! green's my favorite, no matter the shade
Avatar 4:27pm northguineahills:

Damn, I wanted to hear that Rudimentary Peni! I stepped out for a second. Just read about it this morning.
Avatar 4:28pm Cecile:

Also, if you don't get "fashion colors" or the very top of the line, you can also save money. We wanted red, but we didnt' want to pay 25% more!
Avatar 4:28pm Cecile:

And it is pretty great. Gave it face lift. Now it makes me want to rake my yard out and get some window boxes going.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:28pm DCE:

red makes people aggressive...you're better off with green
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:33pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- straight down middle of spectrum.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:34pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:
