good morning, michael!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:04am Stevel:

I am completely in love with Donnie and Joe Emerson after last week's interview. This song is so joyful and haunting at the same time. Amazing stuff.
  11:10am surfdog:

Hi everyone,
I am requesting a rain song, some suggestions below as we have had 10" of rain last few weeks breaking the June record of 4" down here in dreary ole Floriduh
Rain on the Roof" by Lovin' Spoonful
"One More Rainy Day" by Deep Purple
"Rainy Days and Mondays" by The Carpenters
"Box of Rain" by Grateful Dead
Rain Dance" by The Guess Who

Good morning, Michael. Hey, have you heard the Numero Group's Buttons compilation? Sounds like a bunch of Cheap Trick stuff, most pretty good!
Avatar 12:03pm Michael Shelley:

JMD - agree
  12:05pm scott:

Hondells was a Gary Usher studio concoction. I think that Richie Burns was one of the session singers, whom they later sent on the road to lead the touring version of the group. Obviously he's not on this instrumental...
Avatar 12:10pm Michael Shelley:

an interesting lp - "directed by" Nick Venet, produced by "DEN-VET Productions", liner notes by Roger Christian, Some of the songs by Richie Polodor - who made very similar instrumentals as The Pacific Surfers, and played w/ Sandy Nelson
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:23pm Greg from Bloomfield:

"Apple Doldrums". Sounds like an obscure Guided By Voices EP...
Avatar 12:24pm Joe B:

Show sounding great Michael!
  12:25pm myron feld:

Next play "Lost In My World" by the Outsiders. It sounds NOTHING LIKE "Time Won't Let Me"!
Avatar 12:26pm Joe B:

Polodor also produced most of the Three Dog Night hits and Im sure many others. sounds like a candidate for a No. 1 Hit Interview!
Avatar 12:28pm Michael Shelley:

Outsiders "Backwards & Upside-down" as well
  12:30pm Rob S:

Joe B: Podolor is a genius!
  12:33pm lloyd michigan:

Slept late. Just now tuning in. I'll catch the podcast at work Monday.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm Chris in TX via RI:

Morning Michael and folks. I overslept a bit.
Avatar 12:37pm Joe B:

Hey Rob!

wow, how was that version of Something Stupid not a single!
  12:37pm Peter:

I'd have Q-tips too, and they'd have to be wooden-stick ones. None of that cardboard sh*t.
  12:38pm Rob S:

I don't think i've heard that before
Avatar 12:48pm Michael Shelley:

Surfdog - next songs for you
  12:51pm lloyd michigan:

I think the Ramones did a better job of covering CCR. This ain't bad, though.
  12:57pm lloyd michigan:

Michael Shelley and Vinny Barbarino?
Avatar 12:57pm Jimmy Wipper:

My nubs!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59pm Sigurdur:

Alrighty Then
  4:32pm Lindsay:

It doesn't get any better than this. Congrats
on finding the vault that this stuff was stored in.
  5:22pm Lindsay:

Are these Gay torch songs or is it my imagination?
  10:51pm Joe:

Totally agree on the Beatles' Help! comment during the show! If there's such a thing as an underrated Beatles album, that's it (likely due to the US chop job at the time, it's a movie soundtrack, etc.)
