"I listened yesterday. It's no reflection on you but I could'nt see where you were going or what you were going for. This early seventies thing did'nt get noticed the first time and you talk about friends of like Dealney and Bonnie who had records out like we're supposed to remember who they are. Then you play this long winded free jazz stuff that really grates on my nerves. And that noise without a beat and sounds like someones being pinched. Then you play a reggae song, I think you called it Dub, to what, be cool? You seem to really fetishize the whole folk thing too which is obnoxious to us who don't even care. I liked it when you played that punk song though. I like Joe Belock a lot." (Visit homepage.)

Fred, did you just cartoonify the guy's home?

I love it. Abu Dhabi doo indeed. Hey, this sounds great mashed up with Michel Auder's Chelsea Girls with Andy Warhol, which is playing in another window. www.ubu.com...

I feel like I'm in Abu Dhabi myself now.

It's a state of mind. A humid one.

Love the show today even if it doesn't encourage me to get some action. It's actually a good excuse to keep feeling lazy.

Mark:

This Norma O'Malley ius super cool. Cheri Pi, I have to fly from Syracuse to Portland Oregon with a plane-switch in Chicago this afternoon. Am I gonna make it?
  8:27am
Mark:

The show the guy's complaining about sounds pretty cool--Delaney & Bonnie, then some free jazz, then somebody being pinched, then some dub, then some fetishized folk, then Joe Belock. Sounds like a tight set--sorry I missed it.
Avatar 8:30am
Cheri Pi:

Mark-I'd say not. Excpect delays, bring WFMU with you to stay calm.

Mark:

Dammit, Cheri. You have no idea how many flights I've had delayed or just plain cancelled in the past week. First delay and I'm calling off this trip. John, this Ronnie Lane track is brilliant. That Joe Belock fan probably hates it, but I dig it the most!

Hello John Allen. Blast, missed David Ackles, did you play the title track? Got my copy of it in the flea market in Paris. Just saying.
