Avatar 9:59pm lupica:

@Holly, please observe all local speed limits. It's enough to worry about with the GERMS in this place.
Avatar 9:59pm lupica:

Thanks @Cosmic!
  9:59pm dcp@:

oh yes, I like this Home Blitz stuff... They remind me of the Homosexuals for some reason.
  10:00pm Pete in LA:

hey holmez
  10:00pm Matt from Springfield:

Glad to have you back Mike!
Hey everyone!
  10:01pm Holly in NC:

If I observed all local speed limits I'd be driven off the road by irate locals.

God Says Hey Howya Doin!!!

That's just one idea. I suppose there maybe others.
  10:15pm Holly in NC:

Getting ready to drive. GR made my night (so far)
  10:15pm Matt from Springfield:

"Weirdo metal from Detroit, 1987"--haven't heard a better way to describe Coven, so that shall stand.
  10:16pm SteveL:

Least-expected segue award goes to Rafferty/Coven (for now.)
Avatar 10:18pm lupica:

Thanks, Steve. I take a lot of pride in my work.
  10:24pm Matt from Springfield:

This Greenhorn sounds familiar--I'm liking it in any case.
  10:25pm dcp@:

I gota go. Good luck Lupica.
Avatar 10:25pm lupica:

I've always thought Greenhorn ='d Neil Young through some kind of Ohio bar band filter. In a good way, that is.
Avatar 10:25pm lupica:

Thanks, hoss.
  10:27pm Matt from Springfield:

Have a good night, dc pat!
I hear what you're saying, Mike. Like a 70s/80s Neil-influenced band.

Hi Doug!
A Truckers' Delight, if I understand those American food documentaries right! A Grab 'n Go dating back to the '20s.
  10:47pm Doug S.:

I have yet to receive my Primantization, or Baptism by grease if you prefer.
  10:48pm jbm:

Good luck getting out of that petri dish of a radio station without disease, Lawn Boy.

I've got this cold which started out feeling like a cat had been standing in my throat (which curiously enough made me talk like a frog), but just now came the phase where it feels as if SUDDENLY your sinuses were filled with cement and it just hardened. Except miraculously, fluids are simultaneously running out of your nose and down your face. Even though you can't breathe.

Oh, and my ears feel like the pilot got drunk and coked up and started abusively tweaking the cabin pressure control.

So yeah. That's what you can look forward to, having set foot in that disease incubatorium.

But nice set!
  10:49pm Matt from Springfield:

Ah, Primanti Bros. is the name!
"A Pittsburgh Tradition Since 1933. Man Does Not Live By (meat, cheese, tomato, cole slaw, fries and) Bread Alone. There's Pizza and Beer, Too." *Excellent* motto!
  10:50pm Matt from Springfield:

Ooof, sounds rough. Get well soon JBM!
  10:50pm SteveL:

Hands below the chin.
  10:54pm Matt from Springfield:

Ahhhhhh, Mike Wexler = NICE!
  10:54pm Pete / DJ TM5:

I am digging your show Mike.
  10:54pm cubicle carl:

Hey Mike, we had a child and jumped ship to Queens, in the semi-suburban part of the borough, which makes it only a partial jump.
  10:59pm Matt from Springfield:

@carl: Living in an apartment, townhouse, duplex or single family?
  11:00pm Pete / DJ TM5:

I LOVE this Evsc2 song. Never heard of them before.
Avatar 11:01pm lupica:

@Carl, I'm now in the deep 'burbs. The kind of place that makes you feel like your African Head Charge records are going to get you arrested.
Avatar 11:03pm Kenzo (lastever):

Well, shiver me timbers!
  11:11pm Matt from Springfield:

Therese! :D
  11:14pm Matt from Springfield:

DJ Radio Therapist Co-Pays are rising to $2.25 soon...
  11:15pm Kramer:

Get a grip. You grew up in the 'burbs.
  11:15pm Matt from Springfield:

Well, you could be the Lupica Coneheads of the deep suburbs.
  11:16pm Holly in NC:

Hi Therese! Another brilliant surprise
  11:17pm Matt from Springfield:

Yes, comment board humour name-checked! :)
  11:18pm Mark L.:

Great show, Mike--was looking forward to hearing you all day. Please keep up the occasional visits if you can.
  11:18pm Droll:

Matt, I love the idea of ML in the burbs yelling "Consume mass quantities!" everywhere all the time.
  11:18pm jbm:

The Peej.

I just had to repeat that.
  11:19pm cubicle carl:

I think PJ Harvey's bowling league colleagues call her "The Peej."
  11:20pm Matt from Springfield:

@carl: "Peej" is sown into her bowling shirt.
LOL Droll!
  11:21pm Matt from Springfield:

Thanks for stopping by Therese!
  11:21pm Jon Solomon:

I was confident this was Lungfish but I was also looking forward to learning what band I had mistaken for Lungfish...
  11:22pm Pete / DJ TM5:

I am digging this Lungfish song!!! Mike you RULE!!!!!
  11:32pm Irwin:

  11:32pm steve:

i can see why they hired you
  11:33pm Matt from Springfield:

Be thou annoyed, Irwin!! Ha!
  11:33pm Matt from Springfield:

Wow, this sounds like the very first version of "Wrong 'Em Boyo"!
Avatar 11:34pm lupica:

The man professes to hate reggae. I figure spinning some out of Moondog will ruffle his feathers in all the right ways.
Avatar 11:35pm lupica:

OK, stringing up the 'Mission Accomplished' banner now!
  11:36pm Irwin:

Claim victory in the battle, Mike. But I shall prevail in the war—soon as I remember what we're fighting about.
Avatar 11:37pm lupica:

It was probably something important.
  11:43pm Irwin:

It'll come to me. Gimme a few weeks.
  11:47pm Droll:

ML & IC, We all know that people are the same wherever you go. There is good and bad in everyone. When we learn to live, we learn to give each other what we need to survive. Together, alive.
  11:48pm Matt from Springfield:

@Droll: So which one is blind then? ;)
  11:50pm Matt from Springfield:

Lupicy and Chusidy!!
  11:51pm Matt from Springfield:

@Mike: Incidentally, is this "Cop Shoot Cop" all ONE track?!
  11:54pm steve:

wow, i had no idea Spiritualized were good. an old roommate used to just play this one short folky song of theirs over and over, turned me off to them, until now.
Avatar 11:54pm lupica:

  11:54pm NerdJohnny:

Wow, I sure do know when to stumble upon a show a never heard before! This is fantastic!
Avatar 11:55pm lupica:

This is a song to commune with.
  11:56pm Matt from Springfield:

Communal soul bandwidth gliding, even...
  12:00am Matt from Springfield:

Thank you MUCH, Mike L!
Don't be a stranger round here, come back soon!
  3:08am Kramer:

Your new theme song can be:
Sweet Suburbia by The Skids
  6:23pm Kenzo (lastever):

Mike, you make me want to get married, so you can play the music at my wedding.
  10:06am lupica:

@Kenzo, I've done that for one other person at WFMU. Let me know dates when you've got 'em. Will work for appetizers and alcohol.
