Live performance by Kemp & Eden

As childhood friends in suburban Georgia, Charlotte Kemp Muhl and Eden Rice shared an imaginary language and love of creativity that eventually led to their writing dozens of songs.time passed and the two drifted apart, reuniting eight years later to record these childhood songs. Muhl is also 1/2 of Ghost of a Sabre tooth Tiger. Kemp & Eden's debut, "Black Hole Lace," is out now on Chimera Music and they dropped by WFMU's Love Room to play some of it for us. (L to R: Robert Jost: upright bass; Eden Rice: lead vocals; David Hurwitz: guitar, backing vocals; Charlotte Kemp Muhl: vocals, guitar)

We brought over and then back again tons, tons, of records at the fair last year. I mean tons. It was fun, though. Several truck loads. Same ones that never got sold at the bargain booth then brought back again to the station. I look forward to doing the same thing again this year.
