Took the day off, so I actually get to listen live. Great start! The whole family loved hearing Lucia P, and my only regret is that I had to be out of the room for much of "Jollity Farm".

And Doug, a friend of mine predicted last March that Roberts would vote with the Dems to preserve his place in history. I was skeptical, to say the least. I owe him a drink, I guess.

I had given the law a 50/50 chance of being upheld - several real surprises - Roberts being the deciding vote, the Court finding the ACA violated the commerce clause but was a valid exercise of the taxing power, and that the dissenters would have struck down the entire law

I'm in the state's Capitol, smack in the middle of the Greater Sacramento Valley. I've been to the garlic festival, peach fair, pear fair, artichoke festival, crawdad festival, western rib cookoff, and all the other fun food fests that signify summer around here. And I'm headed to Santa Cruz this weekend for some old-man style surfing.

The heat wave was good for the plants since I was home to keep them adequately watered. The mustard greens should be ready in less then two weeks.
Just the other day I had a bee fly between t she upper portion of my screen and window when I opened the window to go water the plants. It took me 20 minutes to coax it out. I couldn't leave the window w/ the screen open, and I didn't want close it and have the bee get lost in my flat.
