JOEL EATON: EEG – FOR RADIO BOREDCAST

Joel Eaton is a researcher at the Interdisciplinary Centre of Computer Music Research, Plymouth. His project, NeuroSymphonics with Prof. Eduardo Miranda, is the development of a Brain-Computer Music Interface (BCMI) that allows a user to control, compose and perform music in real-time using only their brain waves.

Initial research investigated the potential such a system could have on users with limited physical abilities, but Joel has been primarily investigating more creative possibilities that such technology can offer to musicians.
