Haven't heard this in a while! Hi there Irene, hope the day is as beautiful there as it is here!
  12:06pm
KevinfromBayRidge:

Good Afternoon from hot & steamy Jamaica Bay (yucchh!)

This group was once great...Thanks for reminding us of that Irene!

SmokinJ:

I'm in the mood to do nothing but smile :)
  12:12pm
KevinfromBayRidge:

Don't know if this is Marathon music, but it sure is relaxing for lunchtime.
  12:16pm
Looms:

Hello Irene and everyone.
Many nice tracks on KC's Froggy Hipsters :)
  12:18pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

For the Boston Marathon today, the theme is "Hot Hot Hot"! Not good conditions for going up Heartbreak Hill.
  12:19pm
Looms:

And i wonder how frogs appeared on this release... hurm... sorry.
  12:21pm
Green Ghost:

Future Games ... nice. The first Bob Welch LP. I like Kiln House and Bare Trees, too. Enjoying it, Irene.
  12:24pm
BDR:

Thanks for Tindersticks. I think *The Something Rain* their best in years.
  12:32pm
Van in DC:

I thought I heard a naughty word there ;)
  12:32pm
TDK60:

That Kitchen Cynics was quite haunting. Great set, one that makes one pause...
  12:34pm

Bonjour Irene !

Irene:

Hi All! Sorry 'bout naughty words on the Tindersticks track. I think we got 'em bleeped for air. The Web gets the full stream.
  12:50pm
Alan Cynic:

@Looms....extra 'r's are fine by me! :)
@ TDK60...thanks! (and thanks again to Irene!)
  12:52pm
UK's Steve:

Nothing wrong with a bit of Anglo Saxon.
  1:07pm
dinatekno:

Wow. Irene - fantastic stuff. You are sending me back to 1972, when I spent my days listening to FM radio and digging tunes like this. I was 10 years old and loved it even then. Thank you for such a soft Monday landing.
  1:14pm
KP:

Wow this Donovan is nice. i think i need it and i was just going out.
  1:23pm
Looms:

@Alan D.: You're too kind, Sir! ;)
  1:27pm
BSI:

Perfect Fairport album, this. I come back to it every year & never fails.
  1:28pm
northguineahills:

Always a pleasure to hear Fairport. Still doing my last minute taxes for me and my gf. Does anyone know if I can deduct a bicycle and, "ahem", an engagement ring?
  1:29pm
KevinfromBayRidge:

Young lady, you're batting a 1000%!
  1:31pm
BSI:

WHOA... I was seriously just thinking that Lindisfarne would be a great follow to that Fairport tune, and....
  1:32pm
KevinfromBayRidge:

@ngh, Is it a working bicycle? Is it a working engagement?
  1:32pm
Van in DC:

Love Fairport! Love Sandy! :)
  1:33pm
Chris from DC:

Aw, I keep missing KLitchen Cynics.
  1:33pm
Mike East:

Hey, ngh gettin' hitched! Best wishes, man. I don't think the ring's deductible, but the bike may be if you use it to get to work. My coworker deducted all his bike repair expenses last year...I think.
  1:37pm
northguineahills:

Hmmmm..., Well, last year, I did quite a bit of working from, so the bike was only used to grab lunch. Never rode into the midtown office. Now, I really need a job-job, before the unemployment runs out.
  1:37pm
northguineahills:

Just brainstorming, thanks everyone!
  1:38pm
v k:

anyone else delighted Sigur Ros is on tour this summer, including Prospect Park Bandshell (Brooklyn)?
  2:04pm
northguineahills:

Thanks Mike East, dropped that one in Reykjavik in November.
  2:06pm
TDK60:

It's getting to the point that missing an Irene T. show is not advisable.
  2:09pm
KevinfromBayRidge:

@ngh, Any costs related to getting a job should be deductible against the income from the new (hopefully) job. IE, copying;faxing;transpo. Don't think I'd try to incorporate the rock into the above!!! MazelTov, nonetheless.
  2:13pm
Van in DC:

@TDK60 - amen to that.
  2:15pm
Mike East:

had to google that one, ngh. Looks beautiful.
  2:17pm
Mike East:

I have a Brazilian comp that has David Byrne doing "Waters of March (Aguas del Marzo)" It is pretty excellent...in fact the whole comp is awesome.
  2:17pm
Mike East:

I think Caetano does a duet with Sting on the same comp.
  2:46pm
Mike East:

Great show today, Irene.
  2:46pm
Bill:

Peter Caetano from Chicago? Oh, I love Color My World!
  2:49pm
Mandy:

I came and I gave without taking. Love you Irene!
  2:52pm
Brake_Torque:

Awesome show for a quiet Monday morning (here)
  2:54pm

The Record Lounge in Lansing MI loved your playlist today. Perfect tunes for a gloomy windy Monday here in Michigan.

Thanks for listening everyone! Be back next week at noon.
  2:58pm
Van in DC:

Well you've done it again Irene. Amazing as ever. Thank you so much!
  5:18pm
don:

Don't think Mike Giles was a member of Nutshell, but played drums on one of their albums (the one you played of course).
His current project is called 'mad band' which sometimes includes Keith Tippett. Mike is 70 and going strong.
